What are the latest results from trials of the LARIAT LAA closure procedure?
My doctor told me in March 20 25 that it was no longer offered.

The far-more-highly-favoured technique these last few years has been implantation of a small mesh called the 'Watchman.' It becomes encapsulated and infiltrated with endothelial cells over about five months after bein inserted into the LAA, after which a trans-esophageal echocardiogram (TEE in the medical community) is performed to ensure there is no leakage. If the insertion is deemed to be a success, with the LAA 'closed', then you can often go off DOACs like Eliquis and Xarelto...but only if you have very low risk due to an absence of other comorbidities that raise your risk of stroke. And even then, I would advise consulting your electrophysiologist or cardiologist to get their studied agreement.
