In case you’re not familiar with him, here’s a little background. Dr. Chalmers is a sought-after keynote speaker at many international respiratory conferences. One of the stories he often shares is how, in 2012, when he set out to establish a laboratory focused on bronchiectasis, many people tried to dissuade him.

Fortunately for us, he persevered and has since become one of the foremost experts in the field, co-authoring over 350 peer-reviewed articles.

At last year’s World Bronchiectasis Conference in Dundee, his colleagues even gave him a T-shirt that reads “Dr. Bronchiectasis.” 🙂
