Hi im new here I have Spondilolisthesis I'm waiting for Spinal fusion surgery hopefully this year next appointment is in April the pain I'm in is just too much to bear I was told to loose 3 stone and that would put me up the queue which I've done so I've done my bit loosing weight when u can't excersize is the hardest thing but I've been using Mounjaro since November
Have you gotten other opinions? I was diagnosed with this thing seven years ago. Same deal: need fusion surgery; got fusion; no pain relief, called "failed back surgery syndrome". How convenient. I'm not suggesting that you not get the surgery. Just look into other options. This surgery is a major surgery. Don't jump into it without knowing more.

Steroidal injections?
I'm sorry, I don't know about that Medtronic product, it sounds like we are talking about 2 different things. I'm sorry about what you are going through. I am a chronic pain patient myself, but I'm not to that point.... yet. I don't have nerve pain, I have Tarlov cysts on my spinal nerves and really bad arthritis in my spine. I've had the nerves burned in my spine twice, I forgot the medical term for it, ablation or something like that. Only works for about a year then they come back with worse pain than before. The pain meds are not working anymore. I'm afraid to tell my doctor, I don't want him thinking I'm a drug addict asking to "dope up" but this pain has me in tears at night and I cannot sleep for more than 4 hours at night. I just put my trust in God that He has a plan and it is something better than this...... Good luck with your journey.
