What is good for triameglia neuralgia type 2 bilateral to stop the pain

I was hoping that you were better, but sounds like you will have to move. Have you tried earplugs? This disease not only causes us excruciating pain, but costs every dollar we have get rid. of it. I just sent you a Good Thought, hope it works. Susan Lurding

@susanlurding ear plugs seem to be a trigger for pain! They must hit a nerve. I thought maybe it was a change in pressure but I release them slowly to deal with that. I bought noise cancelling headphones and they make me dizzy if on too long but I used them to go in the bathroom where the noise is strongest, and I use them when leaf blowers are around.

I have had severTN for3 years.It was from shingles. it affects the entire left side of my head and face, even into my mouth and nose. I have tried everything I have heard of or told about by near pain management doctors, but nothing has worked. Does anyone know anything about the surgery that Mayo info talks about. The surgery that goes thru small hole in skull and put buffers between the trigeminal nerve and the others on top of it. This info said that was the only cure. I am praying for death I am in such pain. Only the thought of my dog being alone keeps me alive. If you know anything that has helped ANYoNE with this ,please let me know

thank you smooch. this info was exactly what I was looking for. Did you find out about this procedure from Mayo or from the doctor in Philly? I liven Louisville KY and go to UofLouisville pain management. I am scheduled for a pain stimulator implanted in my spine, but I had the trial of this and did not get much relief. However, it is my last hope. I've had nerve blocks, and seems like a hundred other treatments and take Lyrica and Cymbalta, along with Hudrocodone10. My daughters and I keep investigating all things we hear of. My daughter talked to a nurse about the gamma knife. The nurse said her father had this and it did not work for him, so I haven't planned it. It also has a short time of relief...I think it is 2 years. I am78 years old and hurt so bad I don't care whether I make it to 79. thank you so much for this info. I am calling my doctor on Monday to see if I can get this here in Louisville. thanks again for taking your time to do this. Susan Lurding. ps: did your insurance payoff this?

I belonged to another blog and found my surgeon Dr Lee through a fellow member. I live only 30 minus from Philadelphia so it was an easy choice for me.

Oops didn't see the last part of your post. I have Horizon BCBS and they paid just about all. I think I only ended up paying about $600 total.

THANKS AGAIN, THIS MEANS A LOT. IT IS MY LAST CHANCE FOR AN ORDINARY END OF MY LIFE. I WILL TRY TO GET TO SOMEONE HERE WHO KNOWS THIS PROCEDURE. ALTHOUGH, I HAVE BEEN TO 3 DIFFERENT NEURO SURGEONS, AND 2 PAIN MANAGEMENT HOSPITALS AND NO ONE MENTIONED THIS. I HOPE YOU FIND SOME PEACE FOR YOUR PROBLEM. The AC hum woke me at 3:30 am (it was 55 outside!) and when I woke I already had left side pain and numbness on my face and was dizzy. I bought this place three weeks ago. At this point I will lose money selling it but it would be worth it. I thought the AC would stop soon.

I have continued to think about you and your problem and hope you will find someway to get relief. When the AC is not on, do you still. suffer? Thank you Susan. White noise overnight makes me lose my balance (vertigo). I am going to move either soon or in the spring. So thoughtful of you!

ps I ran a Netflix series with many episodes one night: for some reason that doesn't bother me but rain, ocean etc. sounds does.

I hope you find relief. Have you tried spinal adjustment? I have found the NUCA chiropractic adjustments to be helpful. I am not a fan of chiropractic methods but I was desperate due to stabbing pains, and could not tolerate the anticonvulsant drugs. This method is very gentle and aligns your atlas to better allow blood flow. I have been pain free for about a year after starting this treatment. Just recently in the last two days started having the numbness and burning sensation in lower jaw. Hoping my next visit will alleviate this. Anything to avoid that surgery, which in some cases does not work.

Welcome @kristibradybunch, Do you mean Trigeminal Neuralgia (TN) or does TA an abbreviation for a different condition?
