For what it's worth (October 2024), I had a sudden drop in iron, hgb, saturation and ferritin around August 2021, after the Pfizer. I strongly suspected it might be the vaccine because all my life my iron numbers have been on the high side. I was even seeing a hematologist for this. But after the vaccine, my ferritin dropped to below detectable levels on the blood test. I had bloodwork done every 6 months from that time on. Rock-bottom inflammation markers. I refused to take iron supplements or get an infusion because I had no symptoms and I wanted to find out the root cause. I still have not figured out what happened.
No, it hasn't, that's the weird part! That's why I didn't want to take any supplements until I knew why my blood levels were low on the blood test. At first I thought it was a lab error but I had them done every 6 months for 3 years at different labs.

I had blood work done for my weakness, dizziness and excessive sweating. My iron levels were at 17 and 60 is the norm. I am on some homeopathic (ferrum phosforicum x3) for about 3 weeks and then will have my blood re-tested. I also have a prescription for 300 mg of iron in a capsule that I have not yet started taking.
I have now had 3 venofer infusions and 2 monoferric(1500 & 1000).I was tested after the first monoferric infusions (like 5 X venofer) which was the second to last infusion that I had.I was still anemic. Now after my second monoferric infusion (1000 = 3 venofer) I don't feel much better if at all.I am now scheduled for an endoscopy and a colonoscopy.I don't want either one because I saw that many people on this forum had both and none came up positive.I'm thinking of getting my blood tested just before the colonoscopy and endoscopy and if my levels are up I won't bother.
Took my first two Moderna vaccines in late 2020, no real issues other than sore and tired. Had Covid 19 twice before the vaccine. In 2021 had my five-year colonoscopy & endoscopy June 21, was 65 at the time, all checked normal. I am male with and a moderate hiatal hernia and on Nexium to relieve reflux. Took my third Moderna booster September 21st, 2021. Oct. 1st four days later while driving had a severe pain in chest mid sternum left side for about 20 seconds. Not really pain but intense heat feeling that suddenly stopped. Did not feel well the rest of weekend and finally after a week seemed normal. Had physical two weeks later, got a call from my physician iron level was down to 9, severely anemic. Did a check and was passing blood through my stool. Insurance declined a CT scan and recommended at colonoscopy that they would not cover being I had had one three months prior. Doctor put me on Iron tablets 325mg. Took almost three months before bleeding stopped and iron levels recovered. I am blood type O- and donate blood when called for the last 30 years, donated blood May 2021 with an iron level of 15. Still taking iron supplements to stay normal and have stopped donations. Can't help but believe the booster caused this to happen. Will never take another.
Yes. My husband has never had any history of anemia or low iron. He received the Pfizer vaccine in March. He began feeling more tired over the next two months. He saw his physician and she suspected some type of internal bleeding based on the blood test, He had an upper and lower endoscopy. No internal bleeding was found. They are going to try the camera endoscopy next week. We don't think this is going to reveal anything. His iron, ferritin and red blood cell count is extremely low. The only change in has been receiving the vaccine.
My son is 16 and was not vaccinated but has had covid three times. He never had a problem with low iron. After having covid he now has low iron and has been put on an iron supplement by his doctor. He is also being treated for daily persistent headache that has been going on for two years since the first time he contracted covid.
Has the drop effected your energy level? I take 2 "gentile iron with C" every other night on an empty stomach.

Fortunately for me my cardiologist orders bloodwork every 6 months starting many years ago. Now that I have real issues he has an extensive baseline.
