Do opioids help with your chronic pain? - Successfully?
I used Opioids Post Surgery after my surgeries failed - successfully for 3 months. CRPS had set in both feet. Immediately after prescribing my third prescription for Opioids, my Surgeon pronounced me cured and discontinued any further care. December of 2016 was the last time I received a narcotic for my Pain. Just when I needed them the Most, I was Banned from any further Successful Pain Medication as Every New Pain Clinic told me that Opioids do Not Work for CRPS.
At a time when they are needed the most I have been Red Flagged as a Criminal Medicine Seeker and heard every excuse that Opioids do Not Work, and, are Not acceptable for long term use of over 3-6 months. Not even a Trial. I am unable to use NSAIDS. Gabapentin and Lyrica do not work and had too many side effects,
My research showed that Opioids should be used immediately if Nothing Else Works as TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE in treating CRPS. DO Opioids work on Your Pain? Do No Harm _ Do Nothing...

Tramadol works for my painful feet.
I also take Ibuprofen with it.
Don’t know what I’d do without it, and I’m only allowed to take Tramadol 50 mg twice a day.
I have pain in the evening and at bedtime,so that’s when I take it.
The rules for dispensing opioids are different for each medical institution and state. In any case I have very limited therapeutic results from opioids to include oxycodone and dilaudid.
My neurologist will not prescribe opioids for my 5 yr/5 month constant headache. She says they will cause rebound headaches. I think 5+ years is past "rebound"!!!
My doctor said I had to choose. Either my anxiety med or my pain med. this was after CDC made changes in the pain pamphlet. I have an anxiety disorder. GAD. My doctor had been treating with low dose anxiety med. I now get anxiety so high my. blood pressure is high. Never had that. Pain is worst. How do you manage to get both for pain and anxiety?
Have you tried Fioricet for headaches?
I found each state has the same CDC prodigal. However said, the doctor determines how he or she will treat the patient. Just my experience.
I did. Did nothing but cause me to experience dizziness . My friend who has chronic pain was on it for years. She says do not ever go on Lyrica because quitting it was horrendous. Never agin. Her words. Something to be considering.
So true. It’s absolutely terrible what is going on in the pain community. Folks being cut off by their doctors. They are left with no care. Struggling. Many haven’t made it. It’s terrible.
