It is anyone's choice to choose treatments, I simply suggest to widen your choices of information. I read scientific papers, but also use search engines for possibilities not mentioned by doctors cause not FDA approved.

In review of my post I do not see any inference that anything to treat COPD be ordered on line! So I am confused about your response. I thoroughly agree any treatment received should be reviewed. provided and monitored by an experienced, capable physician.
Taipan inferred that one should not wait on studies and FDA approval not me. So please read the threads carefully.

Hello when you mentioned this:
There are all sorts of scams out there, and predators waiting to take your money with false claims of cures without the documentation to support their claims. This covers online scammers as well . I don't know of any other way a person can be scammed with medication not unless it's a door to door salesman.

The American Lung Association joined many other organizations in signing a statement recommending against stem cell therapy for COPD. The concerns of these groups include:
cost
potential for harm
lack of evidence that the therapy is beneficial to humans

However there is a good explanation of stem cell treatment here. The stress it is a treatment, not a cure for COPD

Some studies suggest that ELOM-080, a phytomedicine, has shown efficacy in reducing exacerbations in chronic bronchitis and COPD patients.

In November 2024, a study found that a single dose of benralizumab administered during acute exacerbations of asthma or COPD was more effective than standard steroid tablets. The trial reported a 30% reduction in the need for additional treatment and hospitalizations, suggesting potential benefits in acute settings.

Regulatory Status: As of now, benralizumab is not approved for COPD treatment. Its use remains off-label, and further research is needed to establish its safety and efficacy in COPD patients.

Intravenous Laser Therapy lacks strong scientific support for COPD and should be approached with caution.

The other thing that may help is if you do a search for current/upcoming medical trials, that way you get the new medications before they are widely released.

very informative, thank you
has anybody tried immuno theraphy for copd ?

Let me refer you to the pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov. Here you will find several studies that refer to immunotherapy for patients with lung cancer AND COPD. Perhaps if you read some of these studies you will have a better understanding. Also, it may be a good idea for you to explore some of the clinical trials that are available for people with COPD, but they too have criteria of which you have to meet. In addition it would be worth it to read the Gold Standard, I believe the 2025 has yet published but it updates every year information on COPD, the disease and treatment modalities. At this point I doubt very seriously that anyone has tried immuno therapy for COPD simply because it is not available>

I always appreciate your comments
however I find it annoying, to say the least, that thousands of laboratories, many decades of research, plenty of money and quantum computers cannot find any cure for diseases, only disease prolonging treatments.....

Tell me about it! I lost my husband - it will be 5 years on 1/02/2025--to pancreatic cancer and watched him go inch by inch until he could go no more. Diagnosed in Feb of 2019 and passed away after 10 months. Even mentioned to a Cardiologist that he had an unexplained weight loss, about 10 lbs. Dr comment was, "he looks good to me," that is only one of the many reasons that I tend to be cynical and very critical of our health care system as we know it today. Why find cures.......Cancer is big business!
