Anyone using Nicotine patches for Long Covid?
There is lots of discussion on Facebook Long Covid forums about nicotine patches helping with long covid symptoms after a few days of adjustment to the patches. Any thoughts on this?

Yes, nicotine patches can help-

I did help regarding
January of 2024 I was hospitalized for COVID and bilateral pneumonia. Recovery was grueling as I barley had the strength to walk. I cut out sugar and complex carbs from my diet and started taking probiotics daily. As per the Dr. Ardis website, I cut a 21mg nicotine patch into 6 pieces (3.5mg) and applied 1x daily. It took about 3 weeks to feel the benefit of daily use along with good sleep and drinking a lot of water and the Long COVID symptoms were disappearing! For years I have been plagued with arthritis pain in my hips and feet and after being on the patches for 2 months the pain is gone and so are my physical therapy visits. I have a very compromised immune system due to anemia from Thalassemia since childhood so
I decided to add the Dr. Ardis Bio Defense and Foreign Protein detox formulas to my regimen and they have been a blessing in my life. The Foreign Protein detox is also great for treating earaches and associated dizziness. One drop in each ear 2x daily and all symptoms were gone. I use the nicotine patches daily (sensitive individuals may want to remove the patch a few hours before sleep) and have found great benefit in using the Dr. Ardis formulas. I strongly suggest purchasing his newly released book "Moving Beyond the COVID 19 Lies."
About 3 months ago I tried patches for 7 days with no results. I’m going to try again only for a longer time maybe 14 days and see what happens.
What I have been researching is hyperbaric oxygen and very many with long Covid have shown that symptoms go away .
Insurance won’t cover cost and it is spendy
There are 15 chemicals (among the 200 in cigarettes) that tobacco companies were legally allowed to use in their cigarettes that made smoking addictive. In other words, it was NOT the nicotine that caused you to become addicted to smoking. I use to smoke up to 3 packs a day and I'm excited to try the nicotine patches for reasons other than quitting smoking. I haven't smoked since 1989. Good luck!
I take Vitamin C daily for chronic constipation. 1000 mg per hour, with or without food. Works very well. Capsules are easier to swallow than tablets.
I take about 8-10 of the 1000 mg capsules daily, all at one time. If you have trouble shallowing large capsules, just chew a bite of banana, and then put the Vitamin C capsules in your mouth, mix it with the chewed banana, and swallow.
Your body will excrete what it does not need. If you take too much, you get loose stools. Just decrease amount incrementally until stool normalizes. This has never failed me.
I just purchased the Ardis Covid-19 lies book and read the section about nicotine. I am unsure as to where to place a nicotine patch for maximum effect. Can you provide any guidance?
Thanks
Has anyone had success with tinnitus caused by Long Covid, when using Nicotin?
I've had long COVID for a number of years. My symptoms included severe dizziness, absolute exhaustion, foggy brain and a number of more mild symptoms. I've tried numerous holistic products. Adrenal support seemed to help as did increasing my sodium intake. I could walk only about 2-3 yards and then had to rest and catch my breath. The day before Thanksgiving, I went for a walk and had a very hard time breathing. The next morning I put on a quarter of a patch (about 5 mg nicotine) on my shoulder. About 4 hours later I took a walk and I had no trouble breathing. I had energy all day. On Thanksgiving Day I drove over 50 miles, set up a tent, put bedding, etc from my car, into the tent. All in about 40 minutes. Wasn't tired. On Halloween I did the same thing but it took me over 2 hours, because every 10 minutes or so I had to rest. It's 10 days since I had my last patch on. I still feel fantastic. No need to nap during the day, no exhaustion, no dizziness. I don't know how long this will last, but I'm grateful.
I never smoked, by the way. And I've been a vegetarian for over 50 years and a vegan maybe about 5 years.
Thank you so much for sharing your hopeful story. Please keep us posted in a month and two on your status. Best wishes!
I had the same miraculous boost of energy initially, but waned after a few months. Was suggested to stop for awhile then go back on. Thanks for the reminder to restart, although I had to move to gum, as adhesive on patches was too irritating to skin (welts, not just redness). Best of luck!
