Kennel recommendations in Rochester for an out of towner

Posted by Scott, Volunteer Mentor @IndianaScott, Aug 15, 2019

Good afternoon all! I guess this is mostly for those here who live in the Rochester area. I am coming into Mayo for the MCSMN conference and will have my dog along with me. She's a yellow Lab.

Anyone have suggestions for a good kennel to use when in town for four days or so?

Thanks!

Welcome to Mayo Connect, I myself live in Rochester so happy to offer some suggestions.
- You can contact the Mayo free consigner service and ask for recommendations.
https://www.mayoclinic.org/patient-visitor-guide/minnesota/concierge-services
- The hotel may know of someone.
- Rover.com and care.com offer service to match sitters with dog owners.
- I also know someone who does dog sitting in area, Seeing your a new member, you can not msg me for few days. If want her info, reply to this msg and will send you a msg.
- I know two kennels that do doggie day care, I am sure there are more. I have never used either.
Leashes and Lead - just on west end of Rochester

Central Bark - by St Mary's hospital

Hi Laurie-
I am looking for a dog sitter who can drop in on my sweet dog 1-2x per day during my 3-5 day stay in the hospital. Our hotel room is across the street and I'd like to minimize the number of times my husband has to run back and forth to check on her!

Thanks for any suggestions. This dog has become like a human child to us. We are empty nesters who both work from home so she is always by our side. :0)

Thanks,

Nancy
