Well, as promised I am here to report on the success of my spinal cord stimulator trial yesterday. One day after my procedure I don't really feel any different. The doc could not get both paddles placed along my spinal cord due to scar tissue from a previous sugery. So, only one paddle. The rep tried to give as much coverage with one paddle but it was not very successful. Same old pain today for the most part, even with my morning meds. We will try some other programs, but I am not holding out much hope at this point in time. Not sure what other options I have at this point in time. Oh, well. I guess this is my lot. Blessings to all of you out there with chronic pain.

Day two of spinal cord stimulator trial. No pain relief. Have tried both programs, with parasthesia and one without. I clicked up the stimulation, but I could really feel it when I laid down on my bed. Rep is supposed to call this am to speak about something. I think this trial is a bust. I don't see any other options right now.

I have a spinal cord implant. Boston Scientific. I love it. Unfortunately, i also needed to change my diet to help my body. My suggestion is stop all refined sugar. Fruits are ok but anything with cane (white) sugar stop putting it in your body; No red meat. Fish or poultry; limit alcohol or completely stop it; exercise..just move. Sugar causes so much damage to your body. I have CRPS and arthritis. Changing my diet made a huge change. Some folks don’t like hearing this because they don’t want to give up sweets. For me, it was a no brainer. Try it for 6 weeks. See if it doesn’t make a difference. I started it last November and am amazed.

Protein turns to muscle.

Day three of SCS trial. No pain relif yet. Rep called yesterday and had me switch to a different program. Supposed to slowly release stimulation to the body. Will take about 48 hours to feel something, if anything. Anyone else have success with SCS trial several days after implant?

Thank you. It's wonderfull that you have been blessed with 100% pain relief for so long. What would you say your average daily pain was, on a scale of 1-10? My trial has shown no positive effects as of yet. God bless.

Day 4 of SCS trial. No relief yet. Rep says she will see me on Monday to put some new programs in. At this point I am not hopeful. The Medtronic SCS I had in 2018 gave me decent relief, so I thought that this new technology would so so as well. Not so apparently. Going back to have lead removed on Wednesday. Another strike-out.

The only help I get are from using oxycodone, which usually just takes the edge off the pain, bed rest, and physical therapy, which many times actually aggravated my situation. So far, mostly half-baked solutions.
