kc161 here. Diagnosed with Transverse Myelitis August, 2024. Affected my left leg and foot with numbness and swelling from my toes to my waist. My right foot was somewhat numb but not impacted beyond my ankle. Having PT once a week and Aquatic PT once a week. My frustration is that my right foot and leg is getting worse despite going to PT and being active around the house on my walker. Can’t get an answer or direction from my Neurologist about this very uncomfortable and worsening swelling. Cardiologist eliminated any heart, kidney, urine, blood clot issues. I’ve ordered a compression legging that goes to my waist. It’s not arrived yet. But that was ordered on my own, not by any doctors direction. On Baclofen three times a day. 5mg morning, 5 mg afternoon and 10mg at bedtime. That’s working OK. I need suggestions about this terribly uncomfortable swelling. Elevating legs sends the fluid up to my privates and upon standing its back down to my feet and ankles. OyVey, what to do?
