For those who have severe LC, would you want the new vaccine?

I ask because I got worse when vaccinated. My symptoms were slowly exacerbated. Give me your thoughts and history of vaccines.

Yes. Definitely. I was more than 90% recovered from LC after about 8 months, got Covid again, and have been sick for three more years now.

Did you get your C boosters? This year?

I’m inclined to say ‘good for him/her’….I think I had Covid 3 times and have had 3 jabs/ boosters but not having new covid one as not convinced the others did the things we were originally led to believe in the Uk…I still have LC over 4 1/2 years later.

Yes, just got the latest booster and have had long covid since early 2021. Only consequence was a day of flu like symptoms. The benefit I believe is that it reduces the chance of going to the ICU or dying from a possible future covid infection.

Yes, people are so different. The vaccine paid off for my parents. I was amazed when since day 1 my dad, age 87, who has CHF and CKD, had no issues with the Moderna vaccine or boosters. Then early this year he got Covid, tested positive at PC, (went there thinking it was RSV) but he recovered well at home after a couple of weeks. My mom did the same. I avoided it that time. I had it last fall.

If you do see a positive change in your health, let us know. I posted an article saying it was supposed to help. I don’t feel good about it, so I will pass for now. The first set brought on symptoms I never had from actual Covid so…..

I had gotten each covid shot and mingled with no problems, but I missed the last shot that I should have taken last November. Instead, I took it 5 days after I was exposed to covid. 5 days after the shot I got covid, but it was also 5 days into the incubation period. So for me, I plan to get both the flu shot and the covid shot. I never want another case of covid. I had Pfizer vax .
Re flu: In 2005 I was hospitalized for the flu. I never had a flu shot. I've gotten flu shots every year since and despite a few exposure ops, I never caught it again.

Will you get both vaxes at once? I get them separately, so that if I have a reaction, I’ll know which one caused it. My aunt got both last week and ended up in the hospital. She was already very weak and on dialysis. I was shocked her doctor gave her both at once. She was supposed to go home today.

First, I am so sorry about your aunt and no, I have never gotten both at once. I have gotten them all a week to 10 days apart. I always got the flu shot at the pharmacy. The first couple of covid shots I got at the hospital, after that I took those also at the pharmacist.

I was vaccinated in July 2021. I know I got it again in 22. That was the no taste for like three weeks and amped up my other symptoms. Then had it two more times. My Cardiologist said don’t get it. I have too many medical things going on that I’m going to trust him. Also, I have an appointment tomorrow with my PCP. I’ll see if she mentions it. She used to the first two years every time I saw her. Then, my Long Covid Dr. hasn’t mentioned it either. I will talk to them too. It seems weird this year that they aren’t pushing it. Hunh

I had the Pfizer vaccines when they came out. I caught Covid in December of 2022 and lost my taste/smell. I’ve not gotten it back yet. I will not be getting any more Covid Vaccines.

Thank you so much for your input. I just left my Dr. she didn’t mention a vaccine at all to me for Covid but did for flu. 🤔
