For those who have severe LC, would you want the new vaccine?

I ask because I got worse when vaccinated. My symptoms were slowly exacerbated. Give me your thoughts and history of vaccines.

I am 70 and got covid in March, 2023 followed by 8 months of long covid (PEM and cardiovascular) that gradually dwindled. I got the Moderna vaccine that October with the usual minor flu-like side effects. The LC ended after this; don't know if the vaccine distracted my wonky autoimmune system or just luck. I always get vaccines and boosters. I've known too many people that died from covid, and two younger very active friends that died from cardiovascular events soon after covid (also a risk). mRNA vaccines don't 100% immunize, they deputize your immune system to go after viruses, thereby decreasing the severity and perhaps preventing infection and spreading.

mRNA and other vaccines have similar real-world effectiveness.
and no vaccine is 100% effective.

True. Some vaccines are more effective than others, due to a variety of factors, including how quickly the virus/bacteria replicates or mutates, and how it spreads. With flu vaccines it is partly which variants are in the vaccine and if they match to active ones that season. One's age is an issue as well. I had measles as a kid and was almost 70 when I got measles vaccines, because one's immunity wanes through the years and isn't as strong as well you are young. Regarding the covid vaccines, all use the covid spike proteins to trigger the immune system. If someone has a compromised immune system, they aren't going to be as effective.
