What to take to the hospital? How long did you have to stay?

Posted by nrosa0311 @nrosa0311, Sep 3 1:00am

My surgery is Friday, Sept 6th!!
Very excited to be at this point. My highest weight 383, current weight 326. I feel so much better already but I know I have a long way to go but I really feel with the support Mayo provides I will be successful.
My question foe you all.. what do you recommend taking to the hospital?
Also, how long did you have to stay? Whitch surgery? .. pictures please for encouragement

I shopped for the softest, thin cotton bathrobe I could find. I found one at target. It was easy to slip on and off, I could wrap it completely around me and it had a soft tie belt. It also was thin enough that if I was chilly in bed, I could put it on top of my gown and still sleep comfortably. I got cold a lot so it was a good thing to have day and night. But not a great big fluffy thing, a really thin, almost T-shirt type material that slips on and off with ease was the trick.

Great suggestion.. I had something already at home that is working great! I don't think I would have thought of it without you saying something!! I've been up and walking it sure helps with the gas pain!

I feel like things went great. Dr had a plan b and had to use it due to my history, but she assures me that it is still in line to help me meet my goals.
I'm feeling some pain and a lot of reflex. They just removed the pain button.. so we will see! I'm a little nervous

I’m glad surgery went well. It’s nice having it behind you one less thing to worry about. Congratulations and baby steps with everything you do for now. 🥳
