Does anyone have a hard time waking up when you know it's going to be an unenjoyable day? But when you have something really good happening that day you wake up easily? Is this a known psychological phenomenon, condition of sorts?

Could you be a healthy realist 🙂
Sounds pretty normal to me. I think as long
as you actually get up, regardless of what you
anticipate, you are exhibiting courage.

Thank you. Does the headache often go away within minutes or an hour? When you wake up do you feel like going back to sleep within several hours, or even much sooner?

You don't mention whether or not you're on a cpap or a bi-pap.
With or without treatment I've never had pain on awakening. Mine is more feeling "shaggy," headachy, and brain foggy.
If you've not had a sleep study, you should. One common symptom of sleep apnea is snoring.
Bottom line, I think, is that pain on awakening should be checked out.
Sorry I could not be of more help.

@kayraymat I wholeheartedly agree!!!
No matter how you feel,
Get up,
Dress up,
Show up, and
Never give up.
You are "WOMAN," and we want to hear you ROAR!
( lyrics by Helen Reddy)... 🙂
Thanks for the good laugh.
