I need Help with Insomnia

Can anyone give me some ideas how I can overcome Chronic insomnia, I have pretty much tried everything I tried CBTI myself , but gave up, a theapist would be better but I have not found one that take my insurance.
I was taking Ambien 5mg. for many years it was working great with know problems, my insurance now will only cover for 3 months. and will not permit me to even use my own money for them.
I am open to suggestions.

Mayo Clinic also has a list of different treatments along with some lifestyle and home remedies suggestions here - https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/insomnia/diagnosis-treatment/drc-20355173. You mentioned you tried CBTI treatment yourself without a therapist but were not able to find a therapist that took your insurance. Have you tried contacting your insurance company to see if they have a list of therapists that would accept your insurance?

I don't understand this statement. They cannot prevent you from seeking therapy if you are willing to pay for it. Their legal obligation is to pay per their policy for prescribed and legitimate treatments that are sanctioned by a medical professional. This is a contractual agreement between you, any co-pay, and themselves. What you do with the 'rest of your life' is of no concern to them. For example, if you have a dental plan, and never brush, they'll pay for a limited amount of treatment. When it runs out, it runs out. What you do for yourself from that point is entirely within your legal right.

I got a lot of helpful information from the site you sent, much of the suggestions I have tried. Even asking my insurance for a list of CBTI therapist I get transferred to another
Person no one ever picks up the phone, the recording tell me to go on line, I haven't found anyone in my city Jacksonville Fl. All want cash. One place wanted $300 a month. I will keep trying.

Go to your insurance website and type in Mental Health providers or Therapists .
They should have a list of providers that are on your plan in your area .
I take 10 mg Ambien ( I break in half and tahe it 4 hrs apart now ) for a lot of years. I hear Lunesta keeps you asleep longer . I may switch.

The generic for Lunesta/eszopiclone only 1mg. I got better sleep but it caused ringing in my ears, also I didn't have that refreshed feeling the next morning I was sleepy a good part of the day even after drinking coffee. We all are so different chemically. I hope it works better for you.

I recently found a solution to my lifelong insomnia - Dayvigo and Zopiclone together. Dayvigo by itself was a disappointment, and they say you can't take Zopiclone long term. Well, one night I was desperate so I took them both, and it worked. I told my GP and he gave me a plan. Dayvigo 10mg nightly, and Zopiclone at a slowly reduced dose. Started at 7.5mg, then 5mg, now 3.75mg, and may go down to 2.5mg if all goes well. I also take magnesium 200mg at the same time. So I take them about 20-30 minutes before I want to go to bed. They hit pretty hard so I am ready to crawl into bed beforehand. I fall asleep just minutes after going to bed, and I sleep about 3 hours. I get up to the bathroom a couple of times, and do wake up a few times, but generally fall back to sleep. At least I know I'm getting a few hours of quality sleep and I feel pretty good in the morning. I have to pay for the Dayvigo, works out to about $75 a month, worth it for me. So I'm going to stick with this combo as long as possible. I've never fallen asleep quickly so this is like a miracle for me.

The following has worked well for me. It is a combination of self therapy, with a little help when needed. The first part involves a type of meditation. My Mayo therapist helped me master mindfulness. I use it to focus on just what I am currently doing. In this case on my breathing when I am trying to fall asleep. I combine that with an app called Balance. Or I ask Alexa, right on my nightstand to play meditation music or derp Chakra. When I need additional help I take an olanzapine. Olanzapine doesn't sit well with me. And I have my medical marijuana card. So when I need to I will smoke a little bit of indica. I also have gummies, which I only need a third of one but my cancer is also in my liver so I try not to do that. I use up a flower vape for smoking because it's better for you than burning it. I hope these are things that you can try that will help you.

😃 You got it going on my friend, however that Marijuana card yearly+the product can get a little prices I am retire, single. I do okay but still have to be smart
How I spend, with this inflation It's anybody guess what going to happen. I will try those techniques you talked about. Thank you
