Any Disseminated Superficial Actinic Porokeratosis (DSAP)
Hello,
I’m an 82 year old senior with DSAP diagnosed in my early 30’s.
“DSAP is a non- contagious skin condition with apparent genetic origin in the SART 3 gene. It most often occurs in sun-exposed area of the body”
Over the years I have tried a multiple treatment modalities to no avail including the extremely expensive Lovastatin 2% plus cholesterol 2% (latest study suggests cholesterol may not be needed in the formulation) to no avail!
Have been using EFFUDEX 5% for years which has done nothing to mitigate multiple new lesions occurring resulting in extensive lesions on my extremities & back & to a lesser extent on my abdomen ,face & ears.
I would be very grateful to hear of any treatment that has worked for others in treating this condition

I am 82 as well and have tried your cream without help. I hope someone has the best treatment.
Yes…me too! Would love to hear any success stories!
I can't believe someone else has DSAP! Found it over 40 years ago and never found a dermatologist that had any cure other than zapping them.
Creams aren't even helpful.
I agree .Very discouraging!
Can you describe your symptoms?
Multiple red, dry ,scaly rings , with raised edge, each measuring up to 1/2 inch across literally covering arms ,legs ,back& to a lesser extent face, ears, & trunk.
There is a lot of information & photos on line
I’ve taken a look at some photos. Were you diagnosed by a dermatologist? I’ve had something similar for many years, but my dermatologists have always said it was psoriasis. I do have psoriasis on my scalp in a small spot, but the spots are on my arms and legs and don’t look like psoriasis to me. Just curious. My spots ate extremely itchy. Is that common?
