Is anyone familiar with metabolic encephalopathy?
I have a dear friend has just been diagnosed with this. She has been in the hospital 6 or 7 times since May.
It all started with low sodium.This was caused because of UTI and kidneys.
She is in a bad state right now and on so many drugs. She says she doesn't want to go on like this.Do you know of anyone who has this ??
What can help her if there is help? The Drs. don't seem to suggest anything, just more drugs.

I just left appt for Mayo on NMDA encephalitis is too long of hx to type. but My neuro and have deduced dx to Non or impermeable Receptor auto Immune issues i've been in the progressive ataxia,atrophy ,severe fatigue dbl vision neuropathy mood swings signif kind, death doom for two years now all spine tap, blood ct mri's are wnl. insane BP fluctuations ive said for 30 years, "its a pheochromocytoma" or paragang type issue no one will do MIGB the catecholamines( gr Hommos neph) twice false neg twice?my chronic bp 190/120 in am with Meds 6-8 bp type rx, is now just stupid. from Vestibular cva --rt pontine left hemi to severe anemia to sigmoid perf repair all completed. i'm some how still fn standing? just saw cva clinic barrows last remark, : sit by the pool have beer" Really....Really ffs. oh yeah heavy anger issues...Ya think?***
