Stage 3 chronic kidney disease (CKD): What specialists do I see?
My primary says I do not need to see a kidney specialist. Is this true. My blood chems are ok.

@gladiator 14, I tried the tastyhealthyheartrecipes.com and it took me to an unrelated page. If you're new to the group, you can't post links at first but will be able to do so soon. As for what I sent you, they are not links, they are full documents you can download to your device and print at will. Be sure to read labels in case the information on labels at the time I wrote the document might possibly have changed.
Thank you my wife and I have already been perusing them. I don't know why the tastyhearthealthyrecipes,com site wouldn't open. I copied it as you wrote it and it opened right up for me. Try putting the https:// in front. Some may need to be careful if thy are on a phosphorus and potassium restriction. I have been told I am not and in fact I am on a potassium citrate prescription. Hope it may help some.
@gladiator14, found it! Thanks.
To answer the last question you asked, where to go for diabetic/kidney related healthy foods, I suggest that you visit DaVita.com. I think you will be pleasantly surprised.
@gladiator14, I noticed that you wished to post a URL to a web resource with your post. You will be able to add URLs to your posts in a few days. There is a brief period where new members can't post links. We do this to deter spammers and keep the community safe. Clearly the link you wanted to post is not spam, so allow me to add it here:

Have you got any favorite recipes from this website?
@collenyoung, so nice of you.
I am very new to this whole situation and have just been collecting different recipes. Haven't made any of them yet but I like how it is written and organized. At this point just doing a lot of label reading and modifying what I am eating to stay within 1500mg of sodium and 65g of protein. So far doing ok. Can't wait until my next labs as i've lost weight and am being careful with the diet so I am hopeful to at least stabilize my GFR and creatinine.
@gladiator14, if and when you try one of mine, let me know if you liked it or hated it, if it was easy or too much trouble, etc. ALL feedback, even negative, is very helpful to me and no way are you going to hurt my feelings if you don't like something but I do need to know so I can tweak recipes that need revision. Thanks! BTW, if you're staying aroun2 1.5 Gm sodium, way to go! It's not easy..
My diagnosi was directly relayed to blood work results and anomalies, other than that I have no symptoms
