Colorado Nephrologist post transplant recommendations
We are looking to find the best Nephrologist recommendations in the Denver, CO area post kidney transplant. Mayo has been amazing, but we are moving to Denver and want to ensure we have the same access to incredible care.

Hi @cares4him, fellow members @tjdog @rebekahinvt @livertrex @dakotabonnie have mentioned Colorado and may have some recommendations. Some people continue follow-up care by returning to Mayo Clinic annually as well as having a local nephrologist.
Can you remind me, how long ago was your partner's transplant?

2 ReactionsHis transplant was Dec 2023. He has had complications, and we are very close to stabilizing. I think we will stay connected to Mayo, but would feel more comfortable if we have a really good Nephrologist here too. Thank you!

2 Reactions@cares4him Ask at your Mayo transplant center, or with the nephrology department there, if they might know of a Mayo trained doctor who relocated to Colorado. You never know!
Years ago, my friend had a stem cell transplant at Mayo Rochester. Before returning to Oregon, they inquired about someone who could follow up on their case, out here. They were given the name of someone who had indeed relocated, and were able to come under his care. So, you never know until you ask!
