I started yesterday taking the Lexapro and lorazepam. Day wasn’t to but I was lightheaded and tired. Hard time falling asleep. Today lightheaded and tired. I’m having anxioty now since the lorazepam is wearing off. Did anyone have the same issues?

1 ReactionI’ll be going from 5mg of Lexapro to 10mg. Has any one have side affects going from lower dosage to the higher one?

1 ReactionI started taking 5 mg Lexapro a few weeks ago. Have been using the 5 mg for about 5 weeks and decided to try the 10 mg dosage. I had a very bad headache and neck stiffness from the 10 mg so I went back to the 5 mg dosage which does work for me. Perhaps if you take 5 mg in the morning and then 5 mg at night you may not have any issues.

2 ReactionsI’m glad the 5mg is working for you. That’s a good idea. Thank you.
I went from 10 to 20 mgs overnight. My body hurts all over I told my doting was having problems but she convinced my family I was just scared of taking the medicine. I told my children but no one wanted to listen to me. I have severe neuropathy now and my eyes were effected too. My daughter didn’t have a problem until her blood pressure went up and she got dizzy. She went to the focus for they took her off Lexapro and put her on Zoloft. She didn’t like the side effects. I have had a hard time on all the medicines.
@pamz
I started just like you I felt the same way but it gets better. I started taking Lexapro at 5:30 at night and lorazepam in the morning around 10:00 that helped me. I did this for the first week. This week I’m just on the Lexapro. Good luck!
I’m so sorry you’re going through this.
I hope it’ll get easier for you.
Hang in there.
I take 10mg. I once took 5mg and 20mg. 10 is perfect. I find taking it at the same time and every day. No side effects. Good luck!
I took Lexapro 10mg for 18 months back in 2004. I gained weight and found myself to have dulled emotions and lack of inhibition on it. It did help tremendously with my anxiety, however. I stopped it cold turkey because I did not like the way it made me feel. I do not recommend that way of going off.
I have taken Lexapro for a few years for anxiety, at 10 and 20 mg. I do have dulled sexual desire, but being 75 years old that is OK with me. No other side effects at all. It has been very helpful and allows me to be more of the person I want to be, calmer and better able to be caring to others in my life.
