I’m 75. Had it at least 5 years. Don’t remember how it actually started. My bottom lip is on fire but looks normal. My palate and tongue especially the tip are also on fire. I gave into temptation today and had a great cup of coffee, supposedly low acid, mold free. Paying the price! I just live day to day. I use ice, Blistex, cough drops which are numbing. All we can do is treat symptoms the best we can. I’m convinced there is no cure. We’ll just somehow try to live with this the best we can. I’m on the Facebook page Burning Mouth Syndrome.
