Omron NE-U100 have you used it?
I purchased the Omron NE-U100 mesh nebulizer but have not used it yet. On their website (Omron's) the reviews were terrible. I called customer support with a few questions but the help was beyond unprofessional and uninformed. Has anyone used this particular unit for saline or medication? Thanks if you have any feedback!

Using the Aerobika and nebulizing 7% saline separately is something I heard yesterday also on the Dr McShane airway clearance video/webinar. The thinking is that the saline goes directly to your lungs rather than through the Aerobika.
Since Monaghan makes the Aerobika and the Ombra and the aeroeclipse nebulizer it’s possible that using these together was created as marketing/selling point, ie it saves time, plugs & plays, etc. It’s interesting to consider they might be more effective used separately.
I think they are more effective separate. Takes longer but worth it. Plus using Aerobika in positions is possible which I now find critical.
I think it may be that the nebulizing gets everything very moist so the vibrations are more effective. I've finally gotten used to the time it takes, and don't have to talk myself into it every day. "It is what it is," and unless something amazing happens, I'll be doing it everyday for the rest of my life. I do skip the second round occasionally if I have guests, am traveling, or time gets away from me, but never the morning session. I also walk most days.
Hmm, I may try using the saline separately to see. Not sure it would make much difference but ya never know if you don't try right?
I have not had any problems with the Omron NE-U100. I started using it because they discontinued the Philips Innospire GO. Although it does say it can be used at any angle, this is not true and I have to keep the mesh immersed in my 7% saline. BUT I found that true of any of the mesh nebulizer. I have multiple tops for the nebulizer and soak them in soapy water before I rinse and boil. I like that they can be boiled with each use. I use this as my main nebulizer as I prefer the mesh for fine particle size, quick treatment & lack of noise. That's just my experience, but I wanted to let you know I had a positive experience in case you have to keep it.
Could you share the link to Dr McShane’s talk? I’d like to watch it.

how do you keep the mesh immersed in the saline exactly?
It is immersed when held horizontally (so mouthpiece toward my mouth). Sometimes it will stop if I am up doing something or let the unit tip more vertically. Also when I shut it off to do some airway clearance, at times it will be picky and I have to tip it up & down a few times, but I've never had it not complete a session. This is just within my "trade-offs threshold "😁 - but everyone has different needs!
FYI, I neb 8ml of 7% each session (as approved by my pulmo) as I know I lose some med because the unit is not breath actuated and also it takes more than 4ml to loosen my super sticky mucus. I've been fortunate to be "stable" with bronchiectasis & MAC since 2016, but I know that can change in a moment! Staying hopeful for some of the new treatments coming down the pipeline 💕
Thank you for this input. I will give it a try sometime. I also neb around 6.5 ml in the AM for the same reasons you do. My pulmo was fine with it. PM i just do 4 ml since not much comes up. I am not stable as you are but at least hanging in there thanks to nebulizing.
