Omron NE-U100 have you used it?

Posted by irenea8 @irenea8, Jul 1, 2024

I purchased the Omron NE-U100 mesh nebulizer but have not used it yet. On their website (Omron's) the reviews were terrible. I called customer support with a few questions but the help was beyond unprofessional and uninformed. Has anyone used this particular unit for saline or medication? Thanks if you have any feedback!

Thanks so much.

I started using the aerobika with the nebulizer several years ago - it does save some time but I’ll go back to the “old” way after watching the video. There was lots of other useful information in there so it was a good reminder to be diligent with airway clearance and not to forgot about getting more exercise!

Regarding the Omron Mesh Nebulizer NE-U100....I actually own two ! It is an extremely helpful, portable, and quiet nebulizer that I do recommend. It does use AA batteries but can also be used with an AC adapter. It works very well if you follow the instructions. It can be used with hypertonic saline with no problem. When you fill with nebulizing solution you need to tip it toward you in order for the mesh to be activated. Once it is, however, you may hold and tip the nebulizer in any comfortable direction. I take two with me when I travel as it is helpful to have an extra one if for example one's components are being washed or are drying. Also, just in case of anything. Much easier than carrying a compressor.
I do use the Ombra Compressor along with the Aerobika system at home for air clearing on a daily basis.

I put all the removable parts which have been disassembled in a stainless steel bowl filled with hot soapy water. I also wipe the vibrating element and surrounding area. I allow everything to air dry.
You can sanitize weekly using various methods....whatever is most convenient for you.
