@gail60 The topic of early onset Alzheimer’s might be very helpful and YOU can start it! The topic would still be under Caregivers:Dementia. You go to the top of the page where it says “Caregivers Dementia” and click on it. That should take you to the list of topics for this group. On the left is a space titled ‘start a discussion.’ Just be sure that you are very clear about your subject and explain the difference between MCI and early onset Alzheimer’s . I think it would be great! You can always ask me questions about it in private messages.
Becky,
I did it. Please double check it for accuracy, intention and general acceptability.
Thanks,
Gail
@gail60 I think it’s just fine. @colleenyoung may change it some because she knows what works best. Now, we’ll see what comes! Be sure to check the discussion every few days or more and I will, too.
No, she's in her 70s, but looking back I think I saw some signs when she was in her early 60s. We were never close, I saw her once or twice a year. I agree early onset is a mega issue. I worked with a lady whose brother was neurosurgeon, and started when he was in early 50s. But he died within 5 years, so it was very sad (I don't remember what was his cause of death). But my cousin has had many physical health issues over last 20 years. Big Hug, and all the best, you'll be in my thoughts.....hardest on caregivers
