CBD oil for pain

Posted by timfitz @timfitz, Jul 19, 2016

After trying opiates, and lyrica, and mostly just suffering I tried sublingual CBD which is from the marijuana plant, but has no THC in it, you don't get high. It was very very effective. Not only did it reduce my pain at least 75%, it has a calming effect on the anxiety produced in those of us with chronic pain by the fact we have it. I do recommend it.... Be sure it is from a reliable source. You don't need to smoke anything or get high.

A reliable source? May I ask you in NC where is a reliable source. Sincerely DC

Has anyone tried CBD oil for chronic stomach pains? I have been dealing with stomach pains that have me balled over for hours at a time for a few months now, they have removed my gallbladder and my appendix thinking those were the problem but still the pain persists. I am loosing hope that they will ever figure out what's wrong with me but I need reliefe from the pain

My experience with terrible stomach pain put me in the hospital for awhile. After having my gallbladder removed years earlier and loads of tests, I had no answer to why I was so sick. After I was home, my doctor suggested a gluten free diet. My tests didn't indicate a gluten issue. I knew that I couldn't have dairy but was unaware that something as simple as bread was hurting me so badly. Without the gluten, my terrible pains are gone. I rarely ever get a bad stomach ache. Definitely nothing like before.

I too was skeptical of the CBD oil, until I tried it. First, I got the bottle with dropper and tried 2 drops under my tongue. Amazingly, in about a half hour the pain in my shoulder had subsided by about 75%. Next day, I decided to try it on a thumb knuckle. Again, in less than a half hour the pain had decreased a whole lot, and most of all the movement in the knuckle was restored with a lot less pain, almost normal. i'm no spokesman for the company, many varieties of CBD are available on Amazon. I would suggest shopping to see what fits your needs and pocket book. The first one I tried works well for me. About $20. P.S. I'm 72 yrs.

How strong is your oil?

I’m not sure if it’s been mentioned, but you can take a few drops of the oil and apply it topically to the site of pain. I use a homemade cream on my neck pain (occipital nerve) to calm it down. I can no longer take the internally if it has a higher thc ratio as it triggers seizures. It is believed that it isn’t absorbed systemically if it is applied to the skin- which means it won’t get you high, but I’m not sure I would trust it enough to pass a drug test just in case. It’s not going to ever be a miracle “cure” either internally or externally, but it does seem to work WAY more effectively than any other cream I’ve purchased over the counter.
