My mom gets hot flashes and she had COVID.

This is probably not the case for most people with night sweats, but 1% of people who have had Covid may develop seizures. In my case, if I have sleep seizure, I wake up in a bed completely soaked in sweat. This does not happen to me during the day. I normally do not sweat much at all. If I wake up to a soaking wet bed I know I’ve had a sleep seizure.

I’m going through the same thing since covid infection in 2022. It started right away after getting sick and I still get bouts of sweating mostly at night but I also have palpitations and tremors, I haven’t asked for help with it but I mentioned it to my doctor, I only had some heart tests to rule out other problems. I can only say that I have tried to adapt to the “new “ me and I don’t want to go on more meds that might work or not, nothing is the same anymore and I believe that many of us are very changed since covid. I don’t know how this will work out, I just keep fighting back and I can hopefully move forward, I know it’s hard to cope sometimes with all these things happening but that’s why I come here so that I might learn from other people how they are managing, at least there’s some comfort in numbers so it doesn’t feel so scary, I hope you will find the best solutions for your problems,

I never get a fever and I’ve had Covid three times with no fever. This last time though I had profuse sweating day and night. I tested negative today and I’m still sweating. Does that mean I’m still contagious?

Do you still test positive? That would be one indicator. I don't know if that is the only indicator.

I have gotten a low-grade fever most nights since my worst COVID infection in 12/21- and I have had COVID 7 times. I also sweat profusely- but I just found out long COVID likely sent me into early menopause. This virus is baffling.

Hello— I’ve now had Covid twice. (immunocompromised: — Lupus, PsA, AI Pancreatitis/EPI , Asthma). I’m considered a Long Covid patient— contracted the first case early 2020 & still have some ongoing issues. One thing that doesn’t get better is the body temp disregulation. I get sudden onset extreme heat intolerance. I get no warning. It happens periodically & day/night. It’s to the point that it’s so profound I sometimes have to quickly remove my clothing. But what’s absolutely terrible is the profound night sweats. This has been going on for over 14 months now. It wakes me up several times a night. Sometimes it’s my entire body—literally head to toe. I wake up drenched in sweat, and my body is hot to the touch. Even this past winter—when the night temps get to 20•, I turned the heat off, opened my bedroom window, had light covers on. No relief. It’s unbearable. Doctors here (NM) have performed so many tests. They keep saying that it’s not related to female hormonal changes & no obvious signs of Thyroid disease . (I have had significant vascular & neurological changes since Covid diagnoses.) They can’t figure it out. One suggested that perhaps it’s related to Long Covid. I’m just exasperated & need answers

Yes, I have had long haulers symptoms for three years and eight months now. Got coronavirus nov 2020. Was not hospitalized, no fever, no lung issues, but very low energy and terrible brain fog for this whole time. I never dealt with temperature disregulation issues until recently though. Twice now I'll be cooking in the kitchen and get suddenly very overheated dizzy lightheaded. I take my clothes off sit in front of a fan and then I'm ok once I drink cold water. But ya I told my husband to help me remember from now on if I'm cooking to drink cold water beforehand because this is such an ongoing problem. I think it's just some part of the brain that got damaged during the active coronavirus infection. It really is like a traumatic brain injury almost in these areas mildly.
