CBD oil for pain
After trying opiates, and lyrica, and mostly just suffering I tried sublingual CBD which is from the marijuana plant, but has no THC in it, you don't get high. It was very very effective. Not only did it reduce my pain at least 75%, it has a calming effect on the anxiety produced in those of us with chronic pain by the fact we have it. I do recommend it.... Be sure it is from a reliable source. You don't need to smoke anything or get high.

Sorry, but in addition to pain, I'm an old stoner. CDB oral helps. CBD lotion helps friends but not me. THC never helps relieve pain for me but is one of the ways I distance myself from the pain.
@timfitz I also have, in the past, used marijuana for pain and found it worked very well. However when I injured my back and required surgery. Now, I can't use CBD or any form of marijuana because I am in a Pain Management clinic and pot is not legal at the Federal level, even though it is in California. I can vouch for the effectiveness of it, and want to try only the CBD at some point. Gail B
@mari3gold4. CBD oil is NOT legal in all states yet. And, my pain doctor says he cannot prescribe for me if I take any form of marijuana. In fact, he drug tests me every 6 months, which he said is required by the Feds. Be careful how you approach the question. Thanks.
@jenapower, Where is your pain doctor in California? I would like to change to your pain management doctor if he/she allows you to use CBD for pain. My doctor is with St. Jude's Heritage Clinic in Fullerton, southern California. Thanks, Gail B Ledesma
I'm in Newport Beach and he is in Irvine, on Waterworks Rd. I'd have to look up the name of the doc he sent me to but he's a regular internist that does the licenses a couple days per week. I think he's in Lake Forest or Mission Viejo. Do you have any doc that would recommend CBDs for you, like your regular Dr? If so you could go directly to the mj Dr. you just need proof of pain, prescription, MRI etc. Let me know if you can get that from any doc or if you really need a new pain doc. He's expensive, doesn't take any insurance so if you have a PPO he bills out of network, or you can private pay at a slightly lower rate. He's only contracted with one local HMO, otherwise you are on your own. Good guy though, busy practice but he's there for you.
I'm in Ca. and it depends on the doctor if they are in favor of marijuana/CBD's or not. My internist and pain management docs are all for it and have sent me to the doctor to get the license. Most of them around me don't care about the federal law anymore, but some do.
@timfitz, Tim thanks for the info. Judy
@timfitz, i know you can get the hemp seed oil and the cannibidiol from Amazon. My son knows where to go to get the pot.ive tried smoking it but it didnt help.
I've tried sublingual CBD which had grape seed extract mixed in with it. I have rheumatoid arthritis as well as stenosis in the neck c3-c7 as well as a pinched nerve between c5-c6 and stenosis between l4-l5 in the lower back. The first time i tried it sublingual , 4 drops ,90 seconds under the tongue and then spit and rinse like crazy to get the ugly after taste out of my mouth. The stuff relieved most of my pain but the after taste was awful and i have GERD . I even treid the orange flavor and this was worst aftertaste. Is there any CBD out there that has no after taste when used sublingually? This is also made in capsule form and dissolves in the stomach, but since my fundoplication and hiatal hernia repair i am very reluctant to use the capsule. I am back on 1 - oxycodone for all my RA symptoms. If anyone knows of a tasteless CBD sublingual please let me know. The CBD does help with arthritis pain but does not really help with stenosis type nerve induces pain....kozlo52
Yes, there are CBD & THC/CBD drops that have next to no taste. I had to try 3 places before I realized that it's the quality of the product and its filtration/manufacturing and the quality of the plant they started with that makes or doesn't make the bitter nasty taste. I tried many sublinguals and gummy products that were awful until I hit upon a group that was run by some young ladies. They told me when I talked to them the reasons. Their products were a little more $$ but well worth it. I get a very mild coconut flavored drop with no after taste now. Another product that I really liked they had was a CBD or combo patch. Instead of putting on Fentynal you put on a CBD patch that lasted a couple days.
We have distributors that will come to my house once I pick the products I want over the phone. They are at my door within a few hours. You must get a license in Ca for a specialist MD once a year. We even have a Senior co-op made so Seniors who feel out of their element going to a mj shop are all served. All very convenient now.
