Post COVID my body temp regulation has gotten quite bad. For me the most challenging is that I overheat every night while sleeping. This wakes me multiple times, so my post COVID fatigue is worse than ever. I use cool water to help regulate, and also keep a cooler with ice packs by my bed. Cooling blankets have helped minimally.
I have upcoming autonomic nervous system testing. I would be curious if anyone has had a similar experience.
If I don't do anything, I can get quite cold. When I stand too long or do too much, I start sweating. I do experience night sweats occasionally, but they occur most frequently after evening activities.
Hi, we are on the same page! I am still experiencing the cold sweat! In certain period of time it could sweat throughout the day. My hair was wet! My back was wet! Of course my body was cold. Outside 38 degree but inside the house I need to wear long sleeve blouse.
Hi, thank you for sharing your upcoming autonomic Beverly’s system testing! I would be interested in it too.
It has been 1 year and a half and I am still experiencing the cold sweat! In certain period of time it could sweat throughout the day. My hair was wet! My back was wet! Of course my body was cold. Outside 38 degree but inside the house I need to wear long sleeve blouse. And I am still breathless too!
I have gone through the major tests of lung, heart and blood test. Dr didn’t find out the cause.
Would appreciate your sharing how your test going🙏

One of the many likely symptoms.
To add to my origanal post....I am a 54 yr old male.
One thing i dont do is sweat when i get hot.
I get clammy but i drink a bunch of water and no longer drink soda at all.
I would be interested in hearing what tests are included in autonomic nervous system testing.
Yes, all day, all the time. Heat really kills me, I can't tolerate it at all. I'm nervous with summer right around the corner. It is all so irritating.
I have had problems since 2020. The last 15 months has been really bad. After walking around the house just a bit I can go into a "sweat fit" and it takes 20 to 30 minutes to get it shut down. I soak my shirt, pants and socks on the bad ones. Sometimes, I do nothing and the hot flash starts and then the sweats. My head (in hair) starts first then my forearms and center front chest. I read that these are specific types of sweat glands, associated with hair folicles. These seem to be the most effected as the other surfaces of my body do not sweat like that. Yes, I also get chills, but those are rare in comparison to hot flashes.
I have been on many vegetable and plant extract anti-inflamatories, but using higher dose nicotine: pouches, patches, and gum, have reduced the number and spicifically the intensity of the hot flash and sweats. This has been in the last month. I also added Copenhagen pouches in the mix daily and found that my Viral Reactive Arthritis went away, literally, never returned after mixing all four types of nicotine source, daily. My brain clarity and focus is incredible now. Restored. I still have hot flashes with a little activity, but the sweats can be stopped in about 10 minutes (cool air flow, like high on A/C, and a moist cloth to wipe my face, arms, and head, forehead).
This is a patient led survey that is incredible for information. Below this link is a link on the new research on the nicotine-cholergenic pathway. By the way, tomatoes, peppers, and eggplant produce significant amounts of nicotine. Our bodies need it for proper function. Potatoes have modest amounts as well as low amounts in celery and cauliflower.
