Has anyone had any luck with supplements to shrink prostate?
I’ve got an enlarged prostate. I’ve heard about all kinds of products that will shrink prostate but have a hard time believing these claims as the pitchmen for them don’t seem believable. My Urologist doesn’t seem very helpful and dismisses everything but hasn’t suggested a procedure ye. Just want to see if anyone has had luck with these supplements v

Hi
I too have an enlarged prostate and took Saw Palmetto supplement for a number of years. Bluntly, it had no noticeable beneficial effect and was just a waste of money. It was only when I went to my doctor and was prescribed Tamsolusin ((Flomax) and Finasteride that there was any improvement to the symptoms.
I would stick with medically sound treatments rather than chase unproven supplements.
There are side effects, particularly with Finasteride and if these are troublesome you can talk to your Doctor about alternative medication.
Thank you. I’ll speak to my Dr. My old one retired and his replacement uses a nurse practitioner more than I really like. I took climax awhile ago and had side effects from that too but maybe it’s time to try again
Hope you get a good result.

A Mediterranean Diet, tomatoes and kegel exercises along with not sitting for hours at a time helps me.
Thank you. I do the kegel. Need to work n the sitting
Yes. I have been using Sawpalmetto for many years with good results. You have to experiment with the quantity so start easy and increase cautiously. Talk to your Doctor the are things he can give you too.
If pharmaceutical companies spend billions of dollars and tens of years developing an effective medication using all the modern science and computer power etc we have today and still probably only end up marketing one in a thousand prospects they've gone through clinical testing with, what chance do you think a person like you or I researching literally thousands of claimed miracle ingredients that some marketing entity with no creditable scientific research laboratory, published journal data, large population clinical testing and the like could possibly have discovered? However if your willing to risk using non FDA approved chemicals flowing through your blood stream with unknown side affects on the body for the placebo value alone, and the cost is no object, you may be a candidate for doing your own clinical studies of these remedies. Good luck!
