Post-Covid dizziness/off-balance, as most troubling symptom
I contracted Covid in December 2021 and am currently dealing with persistent dizziness (off balance, sometimes feels like swaying, rocking, spinning, or a pull to one side). My other most bothersome symptoms are ear ringing, headaches (pressure in the head), feelings of pressure change in my ears, trouble multitasking or thinking, along with developing anxiety/ depression and some elevated heart rate and blood pressure.
Dizziness was not a symptom of my initial infection. I developed dizziness (not BPPV) around January 15th. I saw a physical therapist who determined I had Vestibular Hypofunction and I began vestibular therapy. It seemed to be working and I even returned to my office job for about 3 weeks, restricted hours. Two weeks ago I began feeling worse again. My physical therapist believes my initial issue has improved - so he doesn't know what's causing my current onset of symptoms. I started an antihistamine to combat any allergy related ear fluid, along with an anxiety medication to try and improve my blood pressure and heart rate.
I'm going to see an ENT next, and hope that I haven't waited too long to try other remedies (if there are any). Has anyone else experienced this overwhelming dizziness and had positive results with treatment or answers as to the cause? I'm scared that this is going to be how I feel forever.

I am a 42 yr old woman and experienced most of the same symptoms. The actual ‘positive’ Covid phase was nothing, just a couple sniffles and coughs. Highly active runner and gym enthusiast. My VO2 was 41. Post covid 2-3 weeks later could not breathe, severe tinnitus, irregular heartbeat. VO2 dropped to 23. This lasted months and contributed to a severe blood pressure problems. I live in a rural area where dr’s do not take homeopathic remedies seriously, so I took it upon myself to do my own research into long covid and medical studies. Water fasting had shown proven results to eliminate LC completely after 7 days so that’s what I did. I did a 3 day water fast, followed by a 3 day 24 hr fast, and then followed that with a 4 day water fast. (It was during my kids’ spring break so I had to eat one time a day with them for at least 3 days). It completely took away all my symptoms. I will say though though that I am not LC free. Every time I over stress myself by exercising too much or fast longer than 24 hrs my Long Covid death rattle comes back, but no heart issues and VO2 is still in the 40s. Stress is definitely a Long Covid trigger, but I can 100% tell you, If you want to get rid of the heart irregularities and cough do a water fast. Still experiencing tinnitus, hopefully will go away in the near future.
My LC symptoms disappeared last fall when LC did, so no heart irregularities or other and my biking/hiking/etc are back to normal. Good that the water fast works for you. I did not find any scientific articles that support that water fasting has an effect on covid or LC, so I would appreciate any links. I'm a scientist so find it all quite interesting. Effects of stress on diseases is under researched. Having celiac, I know stress can have a big impact (as can nasty gluten bits). Exercise, stress reduction, and eating well are all important (I avoid processed foods and eat mostly FODMAP).
I am interested in what happens when an antihistamine is take due to dizziness. I am going on 3 years of dizziness that seems to get worse when I have chronic stuffy head. So, I am going to try benydril to see if that helps. Has anyone else tried this?
