fingers crossed....have you had shingles vaccine? It's a good insurance for when your immune system is down...

Shingles vaccine coming up. Thank You!
Does anyone know of the benefits of honey is controlling cancer? Google has many contradictory opinions on whether it is like processed sugar ( tabu for cancer patients ) or other opinions that boast of the positive benefits in preventing and containing cancer.

I know how you feel, my CA 125 is rising from 14 after chemo to 40, a steady incline. It’s a bad cancer to have and we can only keep on living everyday and yes it’s all in God’s hands.
If you ever want to talk, I live in Washington State 6 months and in Arizona where I go to Mayo for my care. It’s a wonderful place to be with this cancer. My name is
Rochelle.

Hi Rochell, my name is Miyong. I am also snow bird from Wa. Just came back from Tucson. Completed chemo and my next check up is June 13th and I am concerned about aggressiveness of OCCC.

Hello @mommyjeanne3 and welcome to Mayo Connect and to the discussion group on Ovarian Cancer.

It sounds like you have experienced a lot of treatments in your journey with cancer. While you wait for others in this group (@rochellewisner @starko @falconfly @odette) to reply to your post, I'd like to say how happy I am that the Avastin has not affected your appetite or your ability to sleep and exercise.

Will next week's Avastin be your second treatment?

Hello @rochellewisner

I see that your CA numbers are rising. I'm sure this must be concerning to you. Has your doctor offered any suggestions to deal with these increased numbers?

Welcome to Connect, @miyonggilman. Will you return to AZ for your checkup in June or is your cancer care followed locally in WA when you're not near Mayo Clinic?

Hello All,
I have a question for those of you who are on Avastin.
My incredible Mayo oncologist recommended Olaparib as a post chemo/surgery medication for my stage 3C cancer, but I find the copay is $2200+ per month. Outrageous!
So...
Is bevacizumab (Avastin) equivalent to Olaparib? Cheaper?

I'll have my follow up care in Lacey Wa. Then go to Tucson in Oct. and continue whatever is necessary in this cancer journey. In Dec 18, I had surgery hysterectomy and oophorectomy at St Mary's in Tucson. My oncologist said, I am cured. My last CA 125 was 6. But being diagnosed with occc is never easy.
