Disposable Pari nebulizer cups

Posted by cavlover @cavlover, May 2 4:05pm

Does anyone know where I can purchase Pari disposable nebulizer cups?

I have the portable Pari Trek S, and I’d like to be able to dispose of my cups daily so I don’t have to boil/clean them on an upcoming trip. It’s a cruise so I don’t think the Drizzle Electric Pot will be allowed.

Thank you!

Hi Cavlover....I am traveling abroad soon too...how do you like the TrecS? I read lots of negative reviews on the battery life and just the quality. I wanted to try that. I have the larger Vios nebulizer.

Thanks

I’ve had mine for four years and am very satisfied with it. I have an adapter which it comes with allowing me to use it abroad. I do not have the battery which is sold separately.

I’ll wash mine before using them. I’ll either use warm soapy sterile water and rinse them with the sterile water or try the baby bottle sterilizer on one to see if it works.

Boiling them will melt them.

I’m happy to answer any questions!

Full baby bottle sterilizer cycle will likely melt disposables. Maybe soak in alcohol and then rinse?

At the hospital they open it and use it. I don't think washing or rinsing is necessary, but if it makes you feel better use sterile water. They are NOT meant to be heated in any way. If you have to sterilize and reuse, soak in alcohol.

Oh, so you can plug it OR use the battery? It came with an adapter for European travel?
That's great....can you tell me where you purchased this kit, cavlover?

Thanks!!

I meant to say it come with a power cord. If you travel overseas, you can use an adapter. It does not come with an adapter.

Here is a photo of the parts of the Pari Trek S that use.

I’m glad to see that it has lasted for 4 years; I was sceptical because it has a 2 year warranty vs 5 years on the 2 pari compressors I have at home (and have returned them both for replacement at least twice). I guess people mostly use it for travel so it should last longer than if used 2x a day use all year round. A shorter warranty period is always telling to me.

I also have the battery, which really adds to the cost as well as adding bulk and weight to a portable system. You still need an adaptor for Europe etc.

I use it with the AeroEclipse on the intermittent setting and the battery gets pretty hot by the time I’m finished nebulizing; the system shuts down if the battery gets too hot but that’s never happened to me. Also, I have to recharge the battery between uses because it takes so long on the intermittent setting. I’ll try plugging it in next time I use it!

I think I’ll try the Ombra system if/when i replace this one or need a back up.

Does anyone know where I could order disposable nebulizer cups in Canada?

Also, I believe there is a portable Ombra system and wondering if anyone in Canada has been able to get one? I have the regular one would like to find a smaller one (I have the trek and concerned that I should have a backup when travelling).

Thanks in advance,
