If it’s not one thing….It’s three
I recently realized that four short years ago, i had only one Doctor I saw more than once a year - my Rheumatologist. The others (skin check, mammogram, vision, primary) got a drive by annually for labs, thanks and see you next year.
Now it seems everything is wearing out simultaneously. Each has become as demanding as a toddler. And it is getting on my nerves!!! 🙄

I had to smile at your comment, "OMG, I tend to look at the obituaries too much." 😉 I recall so well when I would look at the engagements, then the marriages, births, and now the obituaries! THAT in itself tells me how many years have flown by!
Yes, but now days many of the obits are for people in their 20’s, 30’s now. Those in 50-60 range are quite common. It’s unreal.
Sad ... and scary, but true. I guess we're meant to learn how to live one day at a time and not worry about tomorrow.
Old age is actually a privilege. Not everyone gets there. Having said that, after turning 70, each yearly visit to my GP turns into at least 3 more visits to specialists and more testing.

That is so funny! Either monitoring something or some new something appears that you need a doc for. Remind myself to be grateful for modern medicine or I’d be a goner years ago. Just the “regular” issues, cholesterol, high BP, but they were killers years ago
Isn't that the truth! I didn't (and still don't) have high BP. Other than RA, once a year I noted things like cholesterol and blood sugar creep up year over year, but stay wnl, and then promptly forgot them. It definitely catches up with you. 🙂
I’m trying to avoid feelings of regret I have for not focusing on my fitness and nutrition earlier. I did for most of my life, but lost motivation about 10 years ago. I got distracted with caregiving for a family member…..I got back on track last year and hope I can repair any damage done. So much of life to catch up on.

I am 78, and after a lifetime of activity, physical fitness, and good health, I have had a series of medical problems preventing vigorous activity. I’m back!
I’m really trying to start gradually, and not injure myself.
Bit by bit, I’m easing in!
One motivator for me is a research article I read stating that women at age 92, who worked out with weights showed muscle gain and improved health!!! Let’s do it!!
I can so relate. This month they've diagnosed me with carpal tunnel, pinched nerve in neck and Polymyalgia Rheumatic. Prior to this a was thinking I was pretty healthy. Gonna be 75 this month.
