I have arthritis in my left shoulder and the pain radiates down my arm. The Irish Spring Original soap relieves it temporarily. I don't know of any other soap that does this and have no ideas why this soap is different. If you try it, I hope it give you some relief.

I admit I’m a little slow. How do you apply this soap? Wet and lather it on? Wash it off then?

Have them at night only and encompass my whole body like lightening.Tried, Irish Spring, epsom salts and magnesium. Finally went to doc who couldn't prescribe quinine but prescribed generic Klonopin 0.5mg. Hate taking it but it works. Mail order company has changed brand (because it is cheaper I imagine) and it doesn't work for whole night

@karenatmayo I agree I use Epsom salts to soak its magnesium salts I can't get in tub anymore but wring out a washcloth and apply several times till cloth is cold each time works

Lioness, no need to get in a tub. Just fill a small plastic container that fits your feet with one inch of warm water and 4 ounces of magnesium oil and sit in chair or couch and soak your feet for 30 minutes.

Bonnie: Use it as it comes out of the wrapping. I use it dry, just rub it on the cramp area when it occurs. If you don't like the residue that it leaves, you can wash it off after the cramp is gone. I don't wash it off. But there is no reason you can't wash it off. I keep the soap next to my bed because I mostly get the cramps in my legs at night.

Some people leave the soap under their bottom bedsheet and it works for them that way. I also use it to calm the arthritic pain in my shoulder. I hope it gives you some relief!

Lioness, I found a good brand on Amazon, “Health and Wisdom” brand magnesium oil. I buy 1/2 gallon at a time although you can buy smaller amounts. The half gallon (64 ounces) lasts for weeks and weeks. I pour 4 ounces into an inch of warm water in a plastic container (bought at Target) that fits your feet. I soak my feet in it for 30 minutes every day or every other day. I use the solution 2-3 times and then toss it and prepare a new batch. It seems to help my occasional but sometimes painful leg cramps.

@karenatmayo Thanks I will go to Amazon and look for it I would rather do the oil then the pills you get faster relieve from liquids or oils.

I do hope the magnesium oil works for you.
