Anyone have severe fatigue then next day sooo ugh!

Posted by catherinej @catherinej, Apr 30 5:16pm

I got COVID 3 years ago, then a second time this fall. My fatigue is so bad after almost any regular day, I sleep for 36+ hours. Additionally, I get a weird smelling sweat during this time. I have the other 'regular' long COVID symptoms however this is the worst. The first time I slept for 3 days. Anyone else?
THANK YOU

Bless you Catherine. I am right there with you.

I had a bad case of COVID in 2022 and then a milder case last year. I have to take short naps every day to function. I do a few things, but, then all of my energy is gone at once. If I don't rest, I am worse and it takes me longer to recoup. COVID worsened my pre-existing issues.

Your body goes into overdrive with your immune system to fight COVID and it seems it doesn't know how to shut down and you are exhausted.

Praying for you. I understand. Keep me posted about you please.

P.S. Excessive sweating is a common complaint from COVID. I believe it changes your natural body chemistry smell.

I got a bad case of Covid in Nov. of ‘22. For a long time I slept 16 hrs./day. Now 10-12 hrs. I feel like a lazy bum but who lays down and takes a 4 hr. nap?! It’s very discouraging. Most of my other long Covid symptoms have eventually left. How do you get stronger when you spend half your life asleep?

I totally understand. I got long Covid symptoms from my Covid booster in Sept 23. Fatigue is very frustrating and along with tinnitus and other neurological issues. I am better than I was in Sept but not near the way I was before the shot. I was advised no more Covid shots.

Hello, I am also chronically tired. Over a year. Exercise intolerance.

Let your body rest. It's healing. I was that way for a 1 1/2 yrs, but doing better. Now, I just need my body to stop trembling. Good luck to you.

There are days when I’m so fatigued I can’t even unload the dishwasher. I go through periods when I can even take a shower by myself because I’m so fatigued! I have to sit on a stool in the shower and my husband has to wash my hair for me. If I move around too much during these episodes I throw up. Sometimes this goes on for a couple weeks. Then I gradually get to where I can shower on my own again.

Yes, my new doctor thinks it could be the vaccine too. Either way it is difficult with these side effects. I never had tinnitus ( other symptoms) mostly such fatigue.

You are not lazy! I told my husband it feels like I am on a drug - like pre surgery - then it hits I am asleep. Thoughts and prayers.
