Something new in the treatment arsenal?
AstraZeneca reported positive results from a Phase 3 trial for a breast- cancer treatment, sending its American depositary receipts higher.
Shares of AstraZeneca (ticker: AZN) were up 1.7% to $68.16 in morning trading.
The company said the trial showed that the treatment, datopotamab deruxtecan, showed a significant improvement relative to chemotherapy in terms of progression-free survival. Plans to submit the drug for regulatory approval globally are underway.
Progression-free survival “is defined as the time from random assignment in a clinical trial to disease progression or death from any cause,” according to the National Library of Medicine.

Soooo Happy for You! Great news for you and for all of us who may also need this treatment! Thank you for your generosity in sharing🌸
Hi. I am happy to hear this. I currently have a fractured rib due to one lesion they have found in that spot. I was diagnosed in August with Mets to liver and lung. And now that one rib.
I have pain in that rib. I am hoping it’s from the fracture and not the lesion. To hear you had 7 areas it must be so painful !! I am worried about the bones.
@einnoc - thank you for sharing the article. Here is the study that the article was based on to help provide more context on the science behind it, https://aacrjournals.org/cancerdiscovery/article/doi/10.1158/2159-8290.CD-23-1161/741920/Long-term-Multimodal-Recording-Reveals-Epigenetic.

*****Everyone needs to read your above post which details a study in the UK which finds out how to block dormant cancer cells.
Plus, in the future, hopefully this will do away with taking any AI’s which would be a blessing for all.
Omg I’d love to sign up for this study!
Hello, the Mets in the bones actually were not painful, only my lymph nodes and breast were painful. Are you on some kind of a supplement for your bones? For example, I take an injection of Xgeva every month.
Thank you everyone for your kind words of support and encouragement. I will keep you posted as we go along and if you have the opportunity to go on this medication, it is proving to do what it is supposed to do! Fingers crossed it continues and research continues to find new treatments for all of us. 🤞🏻🤞🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Hello, the progressions were all in the same place they had previously been. When I was first diagnosed, I had lesions in the bones in seven places as well as lymph nodes and breast. On my first line of treatment I was NED maybe 16 months, and then disease progressed again, but in all of the same places, no new places.
HI, Was just put on Xgeva. I am still having a lot of pain in my fractured rib/ lesion area. But thinking it is the fracture and maybe not the cancer causing the pain.. I hope!
