WOW! I never imagined the potential of my sleeve twisting. Good to know. You look great, Congratulations on your 150 lb loss. You look familiar, I might have read several of your posts 2019-2021 on bariactricpal when I was pre and post op. I remember also losing 60 in pre op phase with help from an older GLP-1 Victoza, on it for 6 months. I went from 380 to 300 got sleeved Dec 2019 got down to 208 then back to 233-240 fo the last year and a half. Going on day 5 , down 4.8. Thank you for your reply. Best wishes😊

I have not had the Roux N Y done yet. I am reading here that you have taken Victoza. I was on that for years taking it daily. I am no longer taking it, and I am using the Monjouro, but I ended up gaining weight after I started taking it. I am very disappointed. I do have my 6 month checkup coming up with my regular physician and will be asking about it. I am hoping I won't need it after the surgery.

So insurance (would) cover it. Typo

As a diabetic for the last 20 years, my blood sugars are at 6.4 which is acceptable for a diabetic. I’m thrilled at 6.4. Why would he put you on it, if you were 5.4? I’ve was put on Ozempic 1-1/2 years ago because I couldn’t tolerate Metformin anymore. Initially I dropped 25 pounds, but, my weight hasn’t budged since then. I’m happy with it though.

Needed to drop another 20-25 lbs and address albuminuria.

I’ve been on Ozempic for almost 2 years to treat my Diabetes. As far as insurance goes, it’s still pretty hefty for Ozempic, but, I guess it would be a little more affordable. Also, being on Ozempic for a diabetic is a life long commitment.

I had that procedure and eventually gained weight. On Ozempic 1mg- this where you start losing lots of weight- and am sorry these drugs weren’t available before I had my surgery. Have lost 50lbs since late Aug 2023. Because I don’t have diabetes they took me off Ozempic and on Wegovy where I gained weight. I’m back n Izemic and losing again. 10lbs to go. I’m paying a lot for it since my insurance won’t pay for it. I don’t care!!!

I didn’t regain my weight that I had lost from Bypass Surgery, however I have Type 2 Diabetes. I started Ozempic before everyone jumped on the weight loss band. I will be taking it for the rest of my life for my Diabetes. I understand that if you take Wegovy, it’s also a lifetime commitment.
