CBD oil for pain

Posted by timfitz @timfitz, Jul 19, 2016

After trying opiates, and lyrica, and mostly just suffering I tried sublingual CBD which is from the marijuana plant, but has no THC in it, you don't get high. It was very very effective. Not only did it reduce my pain at least 75%, it has a calming effect on the anxiety produced in those of us with chronic pain by the fact we have it. I do recommend it.... Be sure it is from a reliable source. You don't need to smoke anything or get high.

timfitz - I have ongoing migraines, 24/7....if it's not a full blown migraine it is a constant, low grade, completely annoying headache plus brain fog. There isn't a day I don't experience this and certainly affecting the quality of my "retirement" life...I am 69. I also have tried just about everything I can. I suffered a concession in 2019 which kick started my head pain in many forms. What is complicating things is I have heart disease and can not take the triptans which are the first line of defense and, I believe, much more effective than the CRGPs which I do take. So I up for the CBD now but which one? There are so many on the market it's overwhelming.
You seem to have had success with them - good for you!!....not everyone does but willing to try it.
Can you point me, in what you believe, is the right direction! Many thanks!

I have had some luck with Cornbread brand CBD lotion and balm for back pain, but not everyone will respond the same, and there are stronger products out there. Some places will give you a discount on your first order if you join their email list. I also tried CBD gummies, but found them more beneficial for sleep than pain. Another option for pain might be beta-caryophyllene or BCP, derived from black pepper and cloves. Appears to be a natural anti-inflammatory. Always better to work with a medical professional, when possible. Good luck!

I suffer for 20 + years from CRPS. I am on a Fentanyl Patch and now using CBD Oil 60mg. along with THC gummies at night. Got rid of all the other pain medications. I take it about 1 hr. b-4 bed and works great. Sometimes I need 5% Lidocane patches but will try anything not to be on ALL the pills for pain I was before. I cannot imagine the damage I have done to my liver ALREADY. Gentle hugs

I get mine from Charlottes Web in Colorado or a store local when they have it in stock. I also use THC gummies before bed to calm down the burning pain from CRPS. Good luck!! Keep everyone posted?

My provider disagrees with your statement about THC. They claim that a mixture of THC and CBD works better than singly. I use equal amounts of THC and CBD with great results.

Is the CBD oil a topical or edible in an oil base, and what type of THC gummies do you take at night? Are the gummies for pain or sleep? Do you need to be in a Medical Marijuana program to buy these products?
thanks.
