Tinnitus
I’ve had tinnitus since 1995 and nothing has ever helped! Mine was a traumatic injury and I have hearing aids they don’t help tinnitus but I can hear a little better! I’ve been taking lipoflavinoid for 2 years and it doesn’t help either! I play soft music to help with sleep but mine is constant buzzing like locusts! Any suggestions please?

Let us know if changing your use of Xanax helps. Noise, drugs, both prescriptive and OTC; sodium, caffeine, heredity, and even some foods have been named as causes of tinnitus.
Stress management techniques are often helpful when practiced regularly. That includes mindfulness, physical exercise, breathing exercises, etc. We are all different. We really don't know of any one thing that causes or eliminates tinnitus. It helps to share what works. If something doesn't work for you that works for someone else don't be surprised. I am thankful that researchers are working on this. Prior to a few decades ago very little research emphasis was focused on anything related to the ear and hearing.
I have had very bad screaming tinnitus for the last three months I started taking Alpha Lipoic Acid Supplements four days ago it is a miracle for me it has stopped the buzzing sound in my head and ears -I take 2 x 200 mgs one in the morning and one in the evening - I would recommend trying it it is a godsend - I am awaiting my MRI result to find out what is going on - I reckon it is an infection/ inflammation- has anyone else tried Alpha Lipoic Acid with success? Definitely worth a try
Does Cortexi work?
@suzy100 my tinnitus was initially caused by an MRI and it can aggravate existing tinnitus for some. Just a heads up. Personally, I avoid them if I can!
I was told that hearing loss causes both tinnitus and hyperacusis, even low level hearing loss. That it is a brain adaptation to fill the void. My tinnitus got a lot worse after a loud musical event. I was so used to my original tinnitus that I went to this immersive performance and came out dizzy, and a few days later the tinnnitus worsened. In two years it us eased up a lot or else my brain had adjusted.
No. Don't waste your money.
