Speaking about dehydration, does anyone have any clever ideas to get a senior at 91 years of age to drink more water or any other liquids? My dad is diabetic, has a catheter for almost 2 years now, isn’t on a lot of pills, and just refuses to drink more. He just says “bull_ _ _ _”. Yup! I make brothy soups, certain fruits that he can have, also sugar free slurpies, sugar - free everything. It’s just very difficult to get him to drink more. I thought I heard of gummies that hydrated you and were sugar free - has anyone heard of them or know anyone that used them?? Thank you!

You might look at some of the suggestions in this discussion thread from one of the cancer groups:

The one suggestions that I use is adding electrolytes. I use a is product called Liquid IV that is added to water. It was suggested by my endocrinologist. It is similar to Pedialyte. There are other products that similar.
