Hi Colleen, I had a bone marrow transplant with my youngest son as my donor. I am doing really good, just waiting for my blood type to change to his and then I hopefully won't need blood transfusion every week or so.
I received the call on Friday 3/15 that I have been approved for addition to the Lung Transplant List database! So now we are just waiting for the call when Lungs become available. Waiting paitently…
@sidney073 This is so-o-o exciting to hear!
When I was added to the list for my liver and kidney it was a relief plus a whole new world of worrying about what-if's while waiting. I did learn that patience is a necessity that doesn't come easily.
How are you feeling healthwise? Have you prepared your travel bag yet? What do you plan to 'try' to do to pass the time until the phone rings with that Call?
Health wise I'm feeling very good. I'm doing Cardio Pulmonary Rehab 3 days a week so I keep in the best shape I can, and keep busy. I have my Go Bag all set, and oxygen tanks already in car. Enough for a "Dry Run" just in case. To keep busy on the other days I am going over house preparations to be away for 6 months, and getting my storage warehouse organized. Trying to downsize some of that so I'm keeping busy.
Marlo and I are learning patience too, she’s beyond so excited .. me, more scared but so hopeful and
we hope to follow your progress, prayers for you Sidney. Please
Thank you so much!! I just saw this message sorry for the delay.
