Problem Taking Showers
I have mentioned this sensitive subject in the past but it's not getting any better. I do have depression and I take Lexapro, Lamictal, and now Abilify. The Abilify really screwed me up re mania, insomnia, constipation, talking incessantly, etc. I switched to half a pill every other day. I mention the meds just so you would l know what I am taking. The issue with taking a shower is still a huge effort way too hard to get in that shower. Is anyone else having this problem? It's really upsetting because I have always been such an immaculate person re hygiene. I do live alone so that saves me somewhat. This is really a big problem for me. Any comments?

I am so glad you replied! I think that we are all given what is relative to our own situations and what may seem daunting and overwhelming to me may be something that is not an issue for you. That's why we are able to help each other; We are not all overwhelmed at the same time or on the same day. I gave up my car about a year ago as I was running over curbs and thought I might be running over people soon ( Aging eyesight!) So here we are.
Somone had to ask me "What I did for fun?" before I realized I didn't even know! I took my answer back to a simpler place. What do I still enjoy doing? What can I still do? Think back to something you liked and start doing it. a little at a time. I'll write later
As far as what I love/like to do that I enjoy, I truly don't enjoy very much as of late. Many years ago I painted in oils and I really loved it but things change and I stopped many years ago. I also loved to sketch but what always happens is "I don't think I could do that anymore", loss of confidence. I love tennis (actually I'm addicted to it. I played when I was in my early twenties but once you lose your partner (she didn't die) : )it's pretty hard to find another one. I have always loved it since Bjorn Borg (my all-time favorite) and that was in the late 70's. Now I have the Tennis Channel and I am addicted to it and I absolutely love it. I clap and yell so yes, this is one thing that I really get excited about. Thanks for your honest reply and I love that you have a great sense of humor. Nancy
Hi Nancy: I can't believe there is another "Tennis Addict" who still loves Borg, Connors and McEnroe! Actually, the McEnroe brothers! I have played all my life; recently watched the Australian Open. Are you watching Coco Gauff?
It's a small world huh? The French is coming up soon at Roland Garros, I look forward to the matches in between also. They are playing at Indian Wells right now. I am a tennis channel binger.
I wish I could sketch; I draw "Stick People." My childhood was spent doing sports and not the arts or creative interests. so, there I am. Really stick people. Can you draw animals? I wish I could draw a picture of my cat!
do you have any animals? My cat has saved my life; emotionally. I'm single and live alone and she is a great companion (listens to all my BS!). Born and raised in San Francisco. I was a "Hippie!" I yell and clap at the tv also!
Enough for now Georgie
I can't believe it! Finally someone who appreciates the art of tennis. People don't know what they are missing. Imagine saying that tennis is boring, just hitting a ball back and forth. What about a bunch of giants jumping on one poor man carrying a ball and needing all of them to stop the man. Really?? You are lucky to have been playing so long. I too live along and have a cat, "Lola", a.k.a. Fatso. She weighs 18.2 lbs. You know, I think it would be better to email one another than posting here because I don't know how it will be taken. If this is okay with you. We seem to have a lot in common and it would be nice to have another friend who understands. I don't know if it would be a good idea to share my email here even though the beginning shows up or am I missing something?? Anyway, if you would like to do this just let me know. Have a good day! : )
Hi Nancy: my cats name is "Cricket! Hi to Lola.
Hi Nancy: I tried to give you my e mail and they wouldn't let me because I am a new member. I'll figure it out!
so glad we found such a common ground. Watched young Alcarez play this afternoon; what a super young player he is turning out to be.
I had visiting Wimbledon on my Bucket list and even though I was able to do some great travelling before I got sick, London was not on my itinerary. Now it won't happen, but I love that grand slam with all its' tradition and history! Love all the slams
ill try again re e mail.
Georgie
Hi Georgie,
Again I can't believe that I have found a tennis addict. It will be so nice to see who your favorites are. I just watched Rublev lose to Lehecka (spelling). Don't know where he came from but what a player. So strong. I felt badly for Rublev but anyone can beat anyone on any day. I still don't know if what we are talking about will be allowed. What do you think?

Thank you Colleen I wasn't aware of this. How can I find where this option is. Thanks again! : )
