Anyone having afib help by taking Heart Calm?

Posted by mitchdavis @mitchdavis, May 26, 2023

I started taking flecainide but it doesn’t seem to stop the afib and makes me tired and fatigued. It looks like Heart Calm is helping people with different heart rhythm conditions. Anyone using it for afib successfully?

Sounds like an interesting alternative.
Where do you buy it? 3 a day?

Amazon 3 a day one with each meal. Heart rate now is in the range of 70. No palpitations. I can tolerated better the exercises. I really recommend it.

According to what I can find "Heart Calm" has several different formulas, mainly potassium and magnesium.
If you are low on these minerals a supplement is certainly beneficial, especially if you are on a loop diuretic such as Furosemide or Torsemide, however if you are not low on magnesium excessive amounts of said mineral generally just cause diarrhea if taken orally, (that's through the mouth). Low Potassium can cause heart and other disorders, but with Potassium an overdose can also cause heart and other disorders as well.
Your best bet is to get a blood test to see if your Potassium or Magnesium levels are within tolerances. In many cases a vitamin or mineral overdose is more dangerous than a not enough, although the health food industry is still allowed to push these mega doses of this and that, in many cases these high doses are doing more damage than good.
Your probably better off to stay away from the supplements unless you have a definite deficiency for whatever reason.
Cheers!

I looked at the ingredients of Heart Calm and the only one that seemed relevant for me as I already take magnesium glycinate and Ubiquinol was taurine. I started taking 500mg of taurine and within a few days my PACs stopped and my heart is calm!

I'm 64 years old... not in terrible shape. Get to the gym and walk run alot. January 2024 I started noticing my heart jumping around, fluttering, and skipping beats. Pretty scary. So finally, about 2 weeks ago, I started taking "Heart Calm" and Vitamin K. I had read in WEBMD that one should take magnesium (Heart Calm" and Vitamin K if your heart is out of rhythm. In about 2 weeks, my heart is beating normal again!! WHAT? That's awesome. Turns out that the electrical beat of your heart has something to do with magnesium. Not sure what that's about. But it really worked !!!!. I uploaded two of my EKG'S. One before and after. You can SEE the difference.

Glad to hear this. Good for you. However, I am in afib 95% of the time and Heart Calm has made no difference.

I have a correction! Today my Apple Watch said that I was in afib only 42% last week. I have been at 95% for the last several weeks. It must be starting to work! Hurray!
