Need to be in constant motion at the beginning of Covid
Did anyone of you feel like you had to be in constant motion at the beginning of your symptoms with Covid? It is not anxiety, but beyond that.Whatever you are doing had to be done so quickly. If you were at a red-light you could not just wait. You would feel like you just have to keep on going?I also had trouble concentrating where I would have to walk away, pausing in my breathing and my nose would run every time I ate.I have been sick for over 2 years and I believe I had covid, but had an iron Infusion at the same time and thought my symptoms were brought on from that.I tested for long covid and it came back negative, but it was way after I first got sick.I have trouble swallowing, slow talking, chewing, trouble walking,no gag reflex, dry painful eyes with lack of muscle movement and many other symptoms.I have had every test you can imagine amd they have not really found much. They have found some little things, but nothing that could bring all of this on.My neurologist thinks I may have a metabolic muscle disease, but those don't cause trouble swallowing, eating and talking.I thought I might have Myasthenia Gravis,ALS or LEMS,but the neurologist told me no.I also have no strength in my diaphram/sternum area and it does not push my belly down like it should.I can feel me touching my stomach, but the sensation in my belly is gone and I dont have gastroparesis. No Doctor knows what this is.I am really thinking it has to be from covid because it is so weird. The scariest part is they really can't find anything. It is an invisible disease.I know that Covid can attack the vagus nerve which can explain some of these symptoms. When I was unable to swallow I lost close to 80 pounds. My primary thought to give me steroids which gave me the ability to eat and walk more because it helps with inflammation.I believe that covid attacked my whole body and brought on Autoimmune type symptoms that are not showing up on conventional tests for some reason.

Have you actually ever seen an ENT to be assessed for chronic sinusitis? If you have any blockage in your sinuses this affects your entire respiratory system in a way you would not think it would. The air you need to enter all your sinuses to give all the proper responses to your throat and diaphragm is triggered evenly to signal the air is coming into nose/sinuses/throat and lungs. Inflammation in the face can cause issues you would never think of. Due to the lack of proper airflow circulation up and through the sinuses this can cause anxiety/tension headaches etc…
Thankyou for responding.I went to an ENT at the very beginning when I could not swallow and months later when I had lost a ton of weight. He was actually taken back when he saw all the weight I had lost.At the beginning I had some acid reflux, but he did not know what was causing it.My diet was good and he did not think that had anything to do with it.We ran more swallowing tests and they could not find a thing.Trouble swallowing,a stiff neck, and weakness in the trunk of my body were some of my first symptoms.I had hair loss too.My weakness got to the point where I could not hold my purse or lift a window. The problem is I thought it was from a horrible reaction to the iron infusion, but I just kept on getting worse with many more symptoms. My one doctor even checked for lead poisoning possibly from the iron infusion.I really just think covid is involved because no one can figure it out and my tests are all coming back fine.Right before my iron infusion I went to the Beach.Even though I got the vaccine the Beach was the first time I let my guard down by not wearing a mask.I bet I picked it up there. It feels like not one part of my body is functioning properly and I am slowly dying.I walked 8 miles a day and was very healthy besides the years of heavy periods causing anemia before this came on.I just keep praying I find someone with something similar or maybe knows someone that is in the same situation. The only people I have seen that have some similar symptoms that are not showing on conventional tests have had long covid. It is like covid hides.
I can relate to your story. I share many similarities, though I do have some good things about my health. For that I am grateful.
I was diagnosed by ENT at a major teaching hospital with Post Covid Syndrome, causing smell/taste disorders last year. Also saw neurologist for tingling, numbness, in limbs….My sinuses were ok according to ENT, though I now have almost constant congestion, watery nose, phlegm in throat, can’t shake it ……seeing gastroenterologist too, though that problem predates covid. But, it’s now different. And, I also had major hair shedding. Dermatologist says telegen effluviom from my rapid major weight loss or possibly LC. I’m eating right and exercising. Just want to get rid of these ailments, especially the constant bitter taste.
I think it helps to know others can relate I just wish there was some answers, treatments, etc.
Thankyou for responding!I hope you get better soon!It does sound like we have some similar symptoms. It is just hard going to a doctor with so many symptoms because it is confusing to them.I wish I only had 2 or 3.The only thing I can think of is that since Covid can attack the whole body it also sets off many autoimmune diseases. The problem is alot of Autoimmune Diseases can be seronegative and don't show up in the bloodwork. My extremely dry painful eyes and dry cough could be Sgrogrens.Sgrogrens can cause a bunch of symptoms including walking difficulty which I was surprised to hear about. My hair definitely changed too. When is started coming out it also started fusing together.I had really nice long hair and had to have it cut short. My hairdresser compared my hair to chemo hair when it grows back.It almost looke like I stuck my finger in an electric socket. It does not even grow down anymore, but outwards and my scalp hurts.I guess nerve damage from whatever happened to me.My dermatologist also told me it was telegen effluviom, but I don't think it is that.It is something brought on from the damage to the nerve ending on the scalp. My hair use to grow so fast and was so healthy. It has only been a little over 2 years and I don't even recognize myself in the mirror.I hope we both get more answers soon.

All of these things/symptoms you are describing happened to me, pre-Covid era. I had an unnecessary sinus surgery. I ended up with all of the symptoms you discuss. All triggered by something sinus related, from inflammation caused by the actual surgery itself.
Weight loss, hair loss, inability to focus etc…
Thankyou for responding. The initial reaction I had was 5 days after my iron infusion. The doctor did the one time infusion which is the higher dosage since my insurance was coming to an end.I believe it is normally broken down into a few sessions.I am just trying to figure our what happened.Maybe my body went into shock.I know that an iron infusion can lower your immune system too so maybe I picked up covid or another virus after the infusion which did more damage. The Doctors just can't figure it out.My slow talking, swallowing and chewing makes me think LEMS or Myasthenia Gravis. These can come on from stress, infection or a virus. An antibody for MG came back borderline, but the doctor said it is nothing. Some of these rare diseases don't even show in the bloodwork. It is frustrating.
Stress can cause a lot of issues. And if you do indeed behave something going on with your sinuses it’s smart to get that checked out as well.
Thankyou for responding.I will get my sinuses checked again.I just have so many symptoms. It is crazy.
With me, I became overwhelmed with what I was going through and got extreme anxiety, including health anxiety. I’m seeing a therapist and it’s helped me a lot. My anxiety levels are way down. I am trying to avoid meds for anxiety, if possible.
I am grateful for the comments about long covid problems. I can no longer go have medical tests to try and diagnose issues that come and go but tests always come out negative because copay I can't afford.
I also experience the dizziness, lost a lot of my hair and what's growing back is different. I don't recognize myself anymore. It's a challenge every day to just get through the day. I have the stomach issues, sweating a lot anemia and it just goes on and on.
