I recently have a CT for my IBS. I was told that I have nonalcoholic fatty liver. Has anyone been diagnosed with such? I am not obese, diabetic but do have hypothyroid and high cholesterol. Seems they are somewhat of a cause. Yet, my blood work states my liver is just fine.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
There is a NASH support group that might answer questions. Fatty liver disease is progressing so changing diet and exercise will help your liver. Good luck. I had NAFLD which progressed to NASH

Where is the NASH support group? I cannot find it here. Just reading about NASH is a bit frightening. I have had no surgeries and was just diagnosed. I have no idea at what percentage it is fatty but I do not want to be alarmist and hope it is not too bad. But thanks for the recommendation although you are scaring me.

I did not mean to scare you. So sorry!! We all have enough to worry about. It is scary but there are so many people that reversed their NASH by proper diet and exercise.

No worries. I had a scan and it is not too bad but I was advised to watch diet. I am not overweight but do have high cholesterol which may be a contributing factor.
I am sorry to hear you now has NASH. Where can I find the support group? I would like to join and lean about diets.

I am working with a specialist. But a dietitician is not part of my team. Currently searching for one now with no luck and asking my GI specialist if they can recommend one.
My daughter was diagnosed with NAFLD. They questioned her abo ut her usage of Tylenol…

I think on Facebook it's Life with NASH. I had to request permission to join so you can too.
Thanks!
