Has anyone experienced internal vibrations?
I started having the only way I can explain it is internal vibrations. I've had them for 3 months now, I went to t hihe ER and they told me it was anxiety. A doctor diagnosed me at a clinic as having Lyme disease I've started a 21-day prescription of Doxycycline I'm on day 7. I went to a psychiatrist a week ago to get something because of my nerves are just over the brink. He prescribed me Gabapentin and Valium I've only been on them a few days.
Has anyone experienced these internal vibrations?I have them almost 24/7 chest neck stomach from the hips down. I have more lab tests that should be in today, but the doctor's office said that they would not call unless there was some abnormality in the lab work.

"Some" Parkinson's, MS, Essential Tremor patients feel internal tremors. But patient forums suggest that some of those who suffer from chronic lyme disease, or infected with Bartonella can also experience it. Some even say, in their case only, the vibrations stopped after gluten free diet. Some believe it is because of adernal fatigue and burn out. Unless (most) doctors stop saying it is caused by anxiety and scientists investigate this deeply, we won't know why it happens. I hope this symptom is taken more seriously that leads to a treatment/cure.

3 ReactionsI have experienced internal tremors for about 7 years now. I do not have MS or Parkinson’s (verified through tests inc brain scan, nerve tests, blood work & thyroid biopsy). Mine began very gradually Ans now is 24/7. It is not in my arms and hands and primarily in my ‘organ/torso’ region. I have chronic insomnia and lack of sleep DEFINITELY makes it stronger. I also believe cortisol/adrenaline really makes it worse. I suffered from a decade of severe chronic depression. High doses of Gabapentin did little. I also have tinnitus and have suffered from social anxiety. Relief comes from strong pain med and/or sleep med which I take anyway for arthritis/bone spurs and insomnia. I also take time for deep relaxation. I am at least glad more is being written now. 5 years ago almost nothing could be found and I felt very alone. Luckily I have an excellent GP which is key. Although it is said to not be harmful because it is around my heart all the time it is extremely disconcerting.

1 ReactionI have them mostly when I'm stressed or very tired. My entire left side of my body is weaker than the other side. I've had brain MRI and every other kind of test known to man trying to figure out what is causing it. I turned down the EMG test because I was told it is very painful. I have lupus, and have all sorts of strange "feelings" in my body at times, so I figure it's just related to that. I'm 71, so I don't expect to be 100% healthy, but the internal tremors and weakness are very aggravating.
I did read that exercise can sometimes help, so I joined a gym and am going to try to just get into better physical shape and see if that helps.

1 ReactionI have had now 7 EMG’s over 15 years and I would rate the very transient pain, (I’m talking seconds) as about a 1-2 on the pain scale. You may have four or five needle pricks that last just a few seconds and the rest of the test is relatively painless. If it makes you feel better to know for sure, I would not hesitate to get am EMG. I had a lot of pain in my life and I wouldn’t even count this as pain.

2 ReactionsBe careful with both if those drugs. The newest guidelines for prescribing Valium and other drugs in this category is for short term use only, 2-4 weeks. I am in a group for benzodiazepine withdrawal support (that’s what Valium is)) and internal vibrations are a major symptom of both use and withdrawal. Many of us suffer terribly from them. Mine have now, after 9 months of hell, started to get better as I taper off that drug.?

1 ReactionI know this is a bit old, wondering if you were still around for these issues ? I think my symptoms are from the covid vaccine.
I suspect, we may actually be sensing a build up of a natural “internal energy” of some sort.
Try focusing on the area of vibrations from “the area between and slightly above your eyebrows” then mentally with “intent” move your buzzing energy elsewhere in your body.
You may find you can direct and drive the vibrations around the body from that focus area noted above.
If you can, you have to ask yourself what is it you are actually manipulating, or manifesting?

1 ReactionMy neurologist diagnosed my internal tremors as essential tremors, a neurological motor disorder, as well as anxiety-depression. In the past 60 days, I have begun to benefit from Cymbalta and twice weekly PT.
On non-therapy days I aim for walking 1-2 miles/day on the gym treadmill, on a nearby nature trail (paved) using hiking poles for balance, or in my house. Exercise is medicine.
