Anyone taking GIP or GLP-1 meds with Camzyos
Been on Camzyos for almost 3 months now. Don’t really see much change although echos do show improvement. Think the biggest issue is weight that even though I have always been active just seemed to keep gaining and no success with losing no matter how hard I try. Want to start taking ozempic or mounjaro or something like. Anyone here taking these meds and have any success or bad side effects when using with Camzyos?

Thank you! I really appreciate this group! It is so helpful to be able to ask questions and share our experiences with other people on this same journey. 🙂
I started Camzyos 12 days ago and first week felt amazing now the past few days severe debilitating headaches (.really bad) and feeling really awful. I have been taken off them for a week not sure I will go back in them. Anyone else had these side effects?
Oh sorry to hear about the headaches.
I’ve been on Camzyos since December 7th 2023 and have mercifully had no serious side effects so far except for some weight loss.
I did have a frontal headache on and off the first few week on Camzyos but after my body adjusted to it, they did go away. I’m not sure it was due to the drug or just coincided with the start of it? They were not debilitating however, and resolved with ibuprofen. Good luck to you.
Wow that is great that you lost weight. I unfortunately have gained weight which disappoints me because I expected it would help me breathe better and therefore increase my activity level. It has made me more tired but I am hoping that was coincidental and can blame the cold weather or stress of the holiday season or both rather than the Camzyos. I will give it a few more months. I am glad to hear someone has lost weight on it though. Makes me hopeful. Thanks 👍
Similar situation with me. Ibuprofen took the edge off.
I encourage all women perimenopause phase consult with integrative medicine doc who specializes I. Women’s health on this. I thought my HCM was acutely getting worse with many of the symptoms but since taking very low dose of bioidentical hormones have had improvement, my gyn at the same academic center as my cardiologist would not do anything not run labs or anything until full menopause. This seems to be a very common story regardless of HCM diagnosis.
Good morning! Yes-I am on Ozempic with my Camzyos. It is working very well! I am down 32 pounds. My cardiologist and primary care physician both thought it would be a great way to help me get my extra weight off as well. I still have a ways to go, but and happily having success! 🙂
That’s awesome to hear! Have u noticed side effects how have u managed? I have appt with my doc this afternoon to discuss this specifically
I haven't had many side effects-I felt a bit of nausea just at the beginning and sometimes is hard to go to the bathroom, or the opposite! But other than that, it is amazing how I just don't feel hungry and it really gets rid of the "food talk'-like I'm eating breakfast, what am I going to have for lunch etc. I feel so much better from both the Camzyos and the Ozempic! Good luck at your dr. appt today! Keep me posted! 🙂
