I would hate to do it without prednisone ... but it does help to taper off as soon ... with 20mgs of prednisone. ... It took me 3 and half years to taper ... second time around and allowed me to taper

started both of my occurrences of PMR ... at 20 mg prednisone and you are right ... the tapering between the higher dose ... My first time with PMR it took the last ... I was finally able to stop taking prednisone
