Here’s a throwback to a great patient story about Beki Rose, a mother of three who was running out of options. Beki was diagnosed with arrhythmogenic right ventricular dysplasia, a congenital condition that had damaged her heart and liver so severely that she would need a rare heart-liver transplant to survive. Unfortunately, Beki had also been diagnosed with liver cancer which meant she wasn’t a candidate for a liver transplant.
After being told that no doctor would take her case, Beki turned to Mayo Clinic for the hope and healing she’d be searching for.

Thank you for this beautiful article of hope and life. Thank you Beki for sharing your powerful experience.
I really like the backdrop for your family photo! When your other medical care team told you to "Go home and get your things in order" I'll bet they were not thinking of a suit case and trip to Grand Canyon. I am happy to see that you were treated at Mayo and that you are enjoying your Second Chance at Life to the fullest.
May your blessings continue.
